Continuing on my rather silly G2 kick, I was able to obtain a Cyberverse Starscream Cybertron Mode with the last supply run. However, I’m not a huge fan of the G2 Starscream paint scheme, and couldn’t find another jet I wanted to reproduce... though I was tempted to make a second in the paint scheme of Action Master Thundercracker. But hey, it’s not like I need to stick with established canon entirely. I do love me some Acid Storm, and the only reason I didn’t pick up their figure from earlier in Cyberverse was the utter lack of knees. And so, G2 Acid Storm was born. I completely confess to screwing up on the spring-loaded gimmick of the Null Rays. I at first thought about removing the springs and having them work on friction alone, only to realize that the friction just wouldn’t cut it. This left me with incredibly floppy Null Rays. So I compromised. Using the pins from a junker bot, I was able to mount them into the arms for a more traditional Null Ray appearance. These also have enough friction to stay in place when spun, and I was able to do it with a pair of small screwdrivers thanks to the softer plastic. I also re-used the triangle patchwork camo from Megatron, simply because I know I can’t do the square digital camo jets can have. Might as well go full X-Treeeeeeem 90s if I’m doing G2. I may buy another Starscream just to make a AM TC with this body, because it’s a really sweet design in spite of the lack of articulation.
I'm absolutely with you there Kudos to this attitude. And I'm an Acid Storm fan, too. I just love the MP's color scheme. But this one is really nice, too
We should make an actual G2 Acid Storm, complete with "Acid (water) Spray ACTION!" Good work, as always.
Do you know how that water spray technique works? I saw a video about it a couple of years ago (I think the customizer did it by accident) but I can't find the video again and don't remember how he did it.
