Not as nice as I was hoping tbh but he looks fun. The strange blue color swap between his forearms and ribs is kinda interesting actually, and the missiles are certainly cool.

Vehicle mode is a bit of a mess unfortunately, but I guess I'll give them credit for actually attempting the show design lol. I think the Battle Call toy is the only other one to use it.

 

That’s an interesting... err... jet mode. I do like the blast effects though, especially the missile one.

Now if Cyberverse took scale more seriously, I might actually collect these full on and do some stuff motion work or something.

 

I mean, yeah. The Alt-mode seems rather off... like it's unsure if they wanted to make it more like it's cybertronian vehicle mode or it's Earth vehicle mode...

But man, is it an improvement over those previous warrior molds!

 

Its kinda ugly IMO. But we probably won't get a better option unless they release a S1 seeker and then release it in Starscream colors, even if it wouldn't be accurate.

Don’t really see this replacing my earthrise starscream but I will pick it up for it’s playability. but I’m pretty sure soundwave and prowl are gonna be great those two are the ones I’m most interested in.

As suspected, removing the BAF didn't impact the figure because they replaced it with blast effects and accessories. And that's fine.

Also, how many people are going to buy Screamer just for that missile effect. Because that...that is bad ass.

 

It DID impact the main figure. I count at least 5 base plastic colors outside the blast effects, where most prior Deluxes were only molded in 2 colors. The paint apps on average are better too.

Edit: Only Deluxe Arcee came this close in terms of base plastics and paint deco.

That Starscream actually doesn't look terrible. Jet mode is super awkward, but it's looking like he'll at least have a pretty interesting transformation
