Wish they would do Slipstream from this mode. Looks pretty close to the Cyberverse design to me.

 

It’s not. Starscream had his own design. Slipstream had a more feminine version of the classic seeker look/

That's not a bad idea at all. I just do not understand why the designers are continually so lazy with the majority of mass release Seeker figures. I REALLY wanted to like Siege Starscream. But I couldn't. The execution is nothing but another,jet-cap-stick-all-the-other-shit-underneath-and-pretend-we-don't-see-it design. STOP Hasbro. PLEASE.
And yes, Earthrise is a decent design but, it was a good design in TF Classics. Earthrise is simply a slightly revised design solution.

 

do it! Cyberverse Arcee is a much better toy. ER Arcee is the first CHUG I've bought in some time that I regret.

 

That bot mode looks nice but wtf is going on with his jet.

I dunno if a toyline about sentient robots should put more emphasis on good looking alt modes at the cost of the bot mode....

Now, if your argument is they should change what the bot mode looks like so they can have it better fit the alt mode design they're using that would be a wonderful idea. Except we've reached a point where the fandom at large only wants recreations of the same handful of guys from 30 years ago. So the toy guys have to take the evergreen G1-based designs and cram them in to different, but relatively similar, alt modes.

I would love *NOTHING* more than for them to abandon G1 robot modes for a long time and do something different. That way they COULD have overall better looking alts.

 

Why is the jet mode missing a wing?

 

It's not, they botched the shop job on the render.

 

I'm neutral towards this design of Starscream, but man it doesn't translate well into toys.

 

Yeah in the cartoon Starscream’s robot and jet mode were totally different than the rest of the Seekers, that has not made the jump to the toy line sadly...

 

I hope Soundwave has a show-accurate head.

Oh huh I didn't know that Starscream had a different body from the Seekers in the show. But regardless, the nosecone/cockpit being on the level as his shoulder bits instead of level with the wings looks wrong

 

Mediocre. But, another one for the Starscream shelf.

 

Okay. Not too bad looking except for the freaky hollow calves from the side and that }€~*+¥&$)(ing tail sticking over his head...

Hopefully it’s like Shockwave’s alt mode feet and you can just pop them off.
