Not sure if this is old, but I saw a Target exclusive Cyberverse Ark value set today. The set was $29.99, as opposed to $24.99, and included the Ark and Roller (just like the standard release), as well as a bonus Cyberverse Commander Sentinel Prime.

It's not exactly a great deal, but it's pretty nice if you don't have Sentinel or the Ark yet (especially with that new coupon!). I'll have pics in a bit.

EDIT: Well, the pics screwed up. In any case, the packaging is just like the original Ark, only instead of showing the base mode on the front of the packaging, it has a "Special Value" window and border with Sentinel Prime, in the same fashion that most movie Special Values appear.

You know, I saw the tag for that (it said "TF3 ark set" or something) on that new endcap they have going right now and was confused that it was $5 higher than regular price. Nice to see some new exclusives though. Now if only the 2-pack with leadfoot would show!

 

A value pack that actually makes sense? What happened to the days of Leaders packaged with bad repaints of non-show characters?  

Looks cool though, might get it if I finally decide to get the Ark.

 

Would have been cool if the Sentinel was a gold repaint.

 

My Target has had that sticker up on an empty shelf for quite some time on the endcap that's got HA Leadfoot.

We've had them in the UK for months. Come to think of it I know they're out in the US as a friend bought me one back *after* I bought it here.

 

The 2 pack Leadfoot Ironhide is at Target all over the place in Michigan where I live.

 

Pretty sure he means the deluxe two-pack that includes Leadfoot and Twin Twist.

 

this is actually really handy. as i was planning on buying a commander sentinel prime when i bought the ark. and if i use the 5 dollar off coupon i got with the DOTM dvd, im pretty much getting the sentinel figure for free!

 

And don't forget the extra $5 off DOTM coupons they have at TRU, Target and Wal-Mart.

 

So this Setinal Prime is no different than the regular release?

I just picked this up. 2nd ark set, Now I can paint one up while my boy plays with the other.

I got lucky, The sticker on the shelf said $24.99 but it rang up $29.99. I used the target mobile coupon, and the DOTM manufacturers coupon, and after price adjustment, got it for $15.

Just cant pass that up for that...

 

Not really sure what the point of this value pack is. Sentinel Prime doesn't fit in the cockpit anyways, correct? I remember my son being disappointed because he didn't fit.

I think the point is marketing. Once someone has an $8 commander figure in the hand, they might look at all of the ones warming pegs a little different. I think, in general the commanders are a hard sell. Unless a kid is really into small TFs, why not spend a dollar or two more for a much better deluxe. Roller works ok with the ark set, but some of the commanders work good too.

I say its just a marketing attempt to get a decent commander figure like SPrime into kids hands to make them look at them on the pegs.

 

I love Sentinel Prime, I have him but he's got a stress mark in his thumb so atleast i can get another one with the ark.

Just the regular Sentinel? That's disappointing, would've loved a golden one or even just a new weapon (cosmic rust cannon, anyone?). Don't really need two of the same exact figure.

...of course, I could keep one as Megatron's throne and actually play with the other...

 

Not sure I really need a 2nd one, but that's a nice little extra (not really a Sentinel fan tho)....hmmmmm, maybe I can give my nephew the first one.  

 

I really need a new Sentinel Prime and I do need the Ark. I will go and find this.
