After a bunch of crappy kid-related episodes, we finally got to see some real action in this one, and of course....SOUNDWAVE!!!!!! I was in the middle of eating a scoop of ice cream (it's summer in NZ for those who didn't know) and there was a 'new' voice, it was very electronic, dark, and then Laserbeak appeared. For those who were wondering, this is definately what we've been wanting, it's not exactly the same as G1 Soundwaves, but it's prettys similar, and it was a very awesome sequence. The other big highlight of this episode was Primus annihilating Starscream in battle. We got to see Primus's moons in action, turning into huge maces, that are supposedly going to be the 'extra feature' with Cybertron Primus, unlike GF Primus who won't have them. Made Primus look/act how he should, there was good use of creaking metal, making it seem like he was old and rusty, but then he just used his Cyber Key Powers, and then used the moons and mace's and ran down Starscream no problem. Another well-done episode of Cybertron, espically with the introduction of Soundwave
It seemed a foregone conclusion that SW would have an metallic, droning homage voice. His Japanese voice in GF resembled closely SW's voice in Headmasters. Thanks for the confirmation on his Cybertron debut!
Yes, though I haven`t seen them, I`ve read about them having Irish and Scottish accents, and Soundwave sometimes speaking like a "gangsta"...
That's really far from confirmed, and I think I'd go as far as to say positively unlikely in my view. The accessory will nigh certainly be something not seen until later on in the series, IMO. Phazer
I'd really love it if someone could take an audio clip of Cybertron Soundwave...anyone able to? I'd like, hug you. In a good way. O_O
What other accessory could possibly fit Aaron Archer's BotCon hint that would "make us want to buy a second one?" I can't think of any items seen later in the series that would fit that description for a toy buyer.
He didn't say that. He said that it'd make people who'd bought the Takara one get the Hasbro version as well, not that you'd want two Hasbro versions. Multiple people who were there have stated that the "buy two" thing is a misquote - and if you only want the one I think there's something pretty damned obvious from the later episodes. Phazer
Perhaps. Like I said, I haven`t seen them, but I think it would make more sense for him to use different styles (maybe he recorded them) than just randomly switching from gangsta to normal. I know this was meant as a joke, but it would make sense for Cybertron as well. But, we can all bet it`ll be something more exciting than plants.
