Snarl is pretty nifty. the only downsides are the pearl white plastic, which obscures a lot of sculpted detail, and a few loose joints, mostly in the legs/ankles on mine. He could repaint pretty easily into a new form for BW Silverbolt as well.
Picked up Snarl tonight and I am in LOVE with him. Easily one of my favorite deluxes. The transformation sequence is so fun and unique. Love how the Cyber key fits in a holster on his thigh when you're not using it. The tail that becomes a multi-purpose gun / sword is tre'-badass. The only complaint is that I think they could have painted the head a little better to make it look more like how the back of the package looks.
Cybertron Armorhide (the Basic truck) has a holster on the side of his gun/crane thing as well. It would be nice if more figures had them though.
Snarl is a decent mold just the colors make him really bland in my opinion. I feel he would have work great as a basic. Too me he just seems like an oversized basic figure. Sideways on the otherhand is perfect...
i received dark fang wolf last night. the colouring on that is way better, much more detail in the face. shoulda been a destron all along!
I think the waist is probably the most important point of articulation on a figure. it adds such a HUGE amount of pose possibilities! Andy
i guess you're right, but he still has a decent ammount comparatively. there arent many in the gf line with waist articulation, but i agree, it does add that extra touch for action poses.
I think all of them are like that... My GF Fang Wolf is the same... Makes me wonder why they didn't fix that before the released Snarl...
