Holy shit you did it! Finally the one and only signal lancer has a toy.

Now only if there was a way to shrink it. Just half the size would be fantastic.

Just needs a Cybertronian lightpost Soundwave to fight in traffic. Otherwise its perfect.

My only gripes about this custom are the base and the scale. The scale of the Mudflap toy always prevented me from making one, but that's a lesser concern of mine with yours here. I would like to see that base made differently though. I'd think some kind of telescoping pole would work really well.

Honestly, either of those concerns are very minor considering the coolness of this one. You never cease to impress, bud :thumb

Thanks man, I agree, the base has a pretty big diameter...but it was critical since a base any smaller would allow the top-heavy light-mode to tip over too easy. The only way I could remedy that was to try and make up for it in bot mode and use it/excuse it as a shield. I telescoping lance would've worked too, perhaps a radio antenna...

Thats brilliant, but I still wish there was a legends sized mudflap so it could be done in something like scale.

finally! after five years some one had the guts to do Signal Lancer. I believe you win this entire forum.  If people had mad more signal lancer customs, Mudflap would not have been a annoying shelfwarmer.

Very nice, they should toss in a transforming version in one of the live action movies, as a scout for Megatron.

I thought it was going to be a different transformation but this is fantastic.

Awesome, awesome work. a friend of mine(Shadow Panther) & i had the same idea a year or so back, but ive been dragging my feet on it for so long. as always, i start stuff, & never finish it. hopefully, this lights a fire up my butt. i actually made a Siggy out of the Animated Prowl accessory & some minicon parts(ask Shadow Panther for more details or pix) anyway, how did you make the lights? i was using some small 'Tap Lights' with painted lenses. but i really like the look of yours. if its cheap, i might try to replicate something.

PS - sorry if my pix & sigs & what-not are messed up. i rarely post here - just lurk & gawk. but this is a mod im working on, & HAD TO POST!!

Thanks for checking out the thread & nice comments! The lenses, backing-plate and outer rim of the lenses were very cheap. The electronics are the expensive parts. The backing plates are 1/8" ABS plastic, lens rims are 1/16" styrene sheets cut, bent & fused. The lenses are cheap, but were hard to find, but I found them at Michael's Arts & Crafts stores. I believe they were called "crystal ornament balls," which are basically clear plastic balls you hang on the Christmas tree. They come in 2 halves a piece, and dirt-cheap at around $1 a piece. The pain in the ass was cutting them since they're dome-shaped. I just sprayed right on them with my paints, and the LED lights shine right through, giving them that nice dull glow I was looking for. The expensive part was the electronics consisting of 3 lithium disc batteries, 3 switches and 4 LEDs.
