But you did get my point, Greyryder. The point being the similarities of alt/beast modes. Battle Ravage doesn't turn into a cassette like the G1 cat does, that why I called them homages.

I personally started collecting with G1 but I like the new TF too. So to me, when Has/tak makes a toy that reminds me of the early days of my collecting, I will buy that toy first before most other ones. It's what makes Alts my favorite line right now.

That's a good list, I hadn't caught all of those. Though I think you mean Swerve, not Swindle, as Windcharger. Also I'd lean more towards the Bruticus tank limbs as the Warpath homage, but Scattorshot works well enough. If only E-Kickback and E-Treadshot could combine...

Y'know now I want to kitbash some of these.

Well Soundwave is an easy must have. The symbol yeah that could have been left out, yes I know about that but in the story he and Noisemaze never were on any side the worked on their own agenda. Still for homage sake I see why they added it.

Shortround, yeah the robot mode with those long arms is kinda funky but the hovercraft mode is great.

Iffy on repaints but I still need to get Dinoshout first then probably will get Pung.

As others have said, Repugnus looks five times better than Undermine/Dinoshout, but the mold is lame to begin with so I won't buy it. If I were a completist for Cybertron I'd be really excited for the Hasbro exclusive repaints, so far they are almost entirely really good and/or unique.

Shoutround is a valient effort I guess, but ugh.

You guys are all missing the point, saying "His arms are weird! His arms are weird!"

He doesn't HAVE arms. He has tentacles. Best seacon homage EVAR.

Maybe you're right about that... so, his tentacles are weird instead. :p

I don't get the hate for Shortround. I love those arms/claws/tentacles things, it gives him a very menacing look. I love the guy, and I'm a huge fan of the Seacon, but I have to say I don't really see a link to say that Shortround is a Seacon homage. His colours share a vague similarity (but isnt blue on aquatic type TFs just, well, sensible?) but there was never any white on the *G1* Seacons... and his head is unlike any Seacon I've ever seen. Regardless, I think Shortround is a really unique TF and will be a great stand-alone figure and another excellent Hasbro exclusive mold like the rest.

As for the arms, I think fans should keep a more open mind to what a TF should look like. They are, above all, robots in disguise, and robots come in all shapes and sizes... some are just little hovercrafts with big claws that could crush an Autobot's head open.

but I think my favourite part of Shortround is the fact that he has a removeable GUN! I hate it when TFs don't come with any weapons, so I'm glad this one does!

Somebody just needs to give Shortround a hug :)
He is like the transmutate of Cybertron.
    - Shortround looks to Megatron "Mama"
    - Megatron blows him away

With those arms, I think a hug from Shortround would be very dangerous. He's likely to crush the life right out of you and not think twice about it.

    I like him already! :thumbs2:

Shortround looks very wrong, he has what appears to be a stick for a waist.
Other then that he's not bad.
