I doubt if I get Primus, but the Unicron head is packaged right next to Primus like that, it would be a good parents deterrent.
I guess it's better than having a "Secret Surprise Inside!!" sticker stuck on the box, though.

The box is okay, but not as sweet as the Takara version.

    Yikes!!

They weren't kidding abou the limited release of the Unicron head-- and non head versions are already being produced?!

Is there any word on production numbers at this point?

Would you guess that preorders at reputable vendors would be early enough to get one with the head?

Primus is looking great though. I actually like the spash-page of information on the back of the box.

Primus will be released in the US in May. The initial shipment will have the Unicron head.

    Cool.

Still glad I bought the Takara one though, ya its more, and ya its just a box, but it sure beats the headach of tracking down the Cyb version just for an Ok Unicron head. Especially as it really look like its going to wind up being pretty hard to come by.

We won't get the Unicron head in Canada and I couldn't care less, it's OK but nothing extraordinary.

Can't wait to get that toy though and put it in a clash with my E. Unicron :thumb s

What the artwork suggests is pretty much irrelevant, since there is a silver key with a silver Autobot symbol inside the packaging next to Primus.

Also, since the Takara version's key had a code on its back, chances are that the Takara version is indeed just the Hasbro version in Takara packaging.

You mean the Cybertron version [read: no gold paint] Optimus Prime key that's in the Omega Lock instead of the gold Giant Planet key?

I dont care which one I get as long as I get one...sure I will look for one with the unicron head, however I wont be upset if I dont get one. It dosnt affect the toy in any way.

    Folks:

I just don' t dig planet formers...maybe if they released a cubic one...

I bet you can't swap the Unicron head with Primus'
normal head. 'I am Unicron-headed zombie Primus!
    Bwuuuuuuh!'

I do have to say I like the idea of U & P being brothers...I swear that
was mentioned in the Marvel G1 comics but I can't confurman it.

Man, there seems to be some serious Takara snobbery in that thread
    on Tfans. TACKRA NOT HASBORW.

In didn't see a shot in the selection of photos that showed clearly showed the key in the box. You can see the key, but the angle it was at in the box makes it hard to make out the color. Images of the key on the back show red.

But hey if you say it will be silver, that is pretty much good enough for me. I forgot the Takara one had the cyberkey code on the back, that is a good point. :thumb

Lack of funds primarily dictated that I couldn't get the Takara Primus. :cry

But I wasn't worried about the paint aplications being different for one second.

Why? Take a look at Takara's Unicron and Hasbro's.
There were no missing or different paint aplications on Hasbro's. Sure Takara's had richer color schemes due mainly to the choice color for the plastic; but no missing paint on Hasbro's.

Hasbro knew that this was going to be a special toy, and didn't want to screw it up. :redface2:

The same has to be applied here with Primus. :thumbs2:
