20170225_224833~2.jpg 20170227_221817_1488252128466.jpg Hey everyone. I was 100% inspired to do this by DeliciousPeters older custom. Sorry for no link.

I did the arm mod last night. I want to add some details to make it look more like a bucket wheel excavator.

Ive used the "bars" from Armada powerlink prime, unfortunately i seem to have lost the extra ones.

Let me know what you think. Ill probably go for an industrial paint scheme.
Thanks. View attachment 27676701 View attachment 27676702

This should look insanely good with muddy industrial paintjob, can't wait!

You should use craft chain instead of the twisted style if you're going with chain instead of cable.
Craft chain, found in Walmart's craft section with the beads and stuff, has individual round links and looks a lot more industrial.

That is a brilliant use of Armada Prime's trailer parts. If I had Metroplex's weapon I'd give it a try.

Always love this custom, as bucket wheel excavators are truly epic machines.

Thanks hope i can do it justice.

Im sure i have the extra ones around. I just took apart two trailers for a classics powermaster prime. Just cant seem to find them...

    Thanks

I really liked your use of quickmixes part to create the cabin. My quickmix is fused with a cybetron rack n ruin counterpart. But i want to do a similar thing.

My brothers actually a heavy duty mechanic. I thinks hes worked on one of these things.

I grabbed a different chain, and managed to find some parts.

I would like to add something for the end of the chains. Not sure what yet.

Added a little operators area on the bucket arm.

Hey! You stole my idea! :p

Seriously though, you are doing great! The alt mode looks more like the quarry digger than any i have seen! Including mine! (Which i still need to paint!) Just curious, but do you plan to disassemble the parts before painting or just paint as is?

Thanks i would love to see yours.
I will definetly be dismantling him to make sure its a really nice paint job.
Probably a base of gun ship grey.
Some mica silver and i have a rust paint i quite like. I use sprays as well as hand paint.
Did you have a color scheme in mind?

When I did my Stripmine custom from that mold, I sprayed him down with flat black primer and dry-brushed him out to capture all the details :)

    Excellent base :)
