Ok so I just got the FOC Combaticons and they went right into Bruticus.
I gotta admit aside from the garish coloring on a few of them I'm rather happy with these molds.
I've been collecting since 84' and this is what I'd hoped for every new Combinder Group, nice sizing, no add on hands feet armor or head. Etc Etc.
I liked the Build Team and the Bullet Trains from RID, as well as Magnaboss and Tripredicus for many of the same reasons.
So I have to tip my hat to Hasbro for this one.
I'd love to see FOC, or Pre Earth, versions of the Stunticons, Arialbots, Predacons and Seacons.
What would you like to see, and why?

If I don't say it someone will. You should probably ask a mod to move this to the Toy Discussion. I'm pretty sure that's a better place for this topic.

I loved all the G1 combiners so I would be happy with a new official version of any of them. The 3rd party combiners are awesome, but it's still nice being able to get a full team without having to spend hundreds of dollars.

The only "alien" styled combiner I'd be interested in are the Technobots...and maybe Monstructor and Abominus. But they would have to be a hell of a lot better done than FoC Bruticus for me to be remotely interested in actually buying them.

I'm actually the opposite. I don't want other gestalts in Cybertronian mode. I want them in Earth mode. Including a new Bruticus.

Pretty much everyone feels this way. Myself included. Part of the problem is that Cybertronian gestalts... would be boring. I mean, the Aerialbots and Stunticons are already way too similar for my taste, but at least they're differentiated by different specific, real-world models of vehicle. Four different "generic Cybertronian jet or cars" just doesn't appeal to me. One of the reasons Bruticus worked is there were a lot of different vehicle types to work with (a spaceship, a tank, a jeep, a helicopter, and half-a-pickup-hauling-a-facepalm). Certain other groups might work (Defensor comes to mind, and of course the Technobots) but I think most people would much prefer to get most of the teams in their recognizable Earth modes.

You know, it's really weird... back in Universe, they refused to give characters Cybertronian modes, even when it was what the fans wanted. Now they're staunchly refusing to release non-Cybertronian molds of characters we'd much prefer to have in their Earth forms.

Why not throw us a WfC Galvatron, or Scourge? Wheelie or Springer? Arcee for crying out loud? Any of those characters with generic "future" alt-modes would be perfect for an FoC figure.

    Yes, Constructicons Please
    [IMG]

I feel all of the Earth Mold Figures will be concentrated to the Main Line and Kre-O/Kreons, as well as a lot repaint options, FOC Bruticus has (4) The SDCC Set, The G2 Set, The Decepticon Retail Version, and The Autobot Retail Version.

It does make since, if you ignore G1 because all combiners were created after arriving on Earth. I have no problem with Cybertronian Modes for the Decepticon Combaticons, Constructicons, and Stunticons; the Autobots Arialbots, Protectobots, and Tecnobots as well as have Earth Modes for each team as long as they are compatible with each other.

The Decepticon Predicons, Terrorcons, and Seacons are specifically ether real or fictional animals of Earth, or Alien origins, so they are limited. The Technobots are also limited because of there Future Earth Vehicle Modes.

Well whatever Hasbro decides I hope we get 1 Combiner a year with many color options to chose from (My wallet would be appreciated).

I can't wait for Hasbro's Devastator because it'll end the countless customs i'm never going to stop seeing till they do so.

I can see the points we're all trying to make.
The main thing I guess is I'd just like to see more Gestalts period. I'm partal to the pre earth, or after earth, modes due to these come before, and after, the stories we all know.
Depending on which story line you choose there are arguments for which groups we'd like to see, in G1 cartoon the Constructicons, Dinobots, Arialbots, and Stunticons were all built on earth. In the IDW comics they've been around as long as the rest of the characters. I'll admit I'm partal to the Stunticons and Arialbots since they were the first sets I got to complete. But after some thought I'd say the Technobots would be a awesome set to see updated. (HASBRO GET ON IT!!!)
Maybe some pre earth sets for Tripredicus and Magnaboss or a actual original set unlike the re paint of the combaticons that they're making into The Wreckers.

Quite frankly, I've always been a huge fan of Cybertronian alt modes. Even so, some combiner teams would definitely be better with earth modes.
For instance, the Predacons need to be earth creatures to make sense. Their pre-earth modes are kind of generic.

protectobots and stunticons. mainly because i want Dead End and another gestalt for my Bruticus to fight. i personally don't want the constructicons in particular because they have been made multiple times and i have a hard time telling them apart except for Mixmaster and sometimes Long Haul. but i wouldn't necessarily mind them because i'd be interested in how Hasbro would make them

    What about PCC's?
Oh. the drones aren't really individual bots.

Abominus, Pirannacon could be completely alien designs.
    Computron should be completely Cybertronian.
as for the others, Earth modes.

(if you use G1 cartoon canon, Bruticus was all earth modes to BEGIN with.)

If you ask me Hasbro just missed a golden opportunity in creating FOC Bruticus. Let's face it, FOC won't last long enough to see all combiners released in cybertronian alt modes, but there is one that was supposed to be in cybertronian alt modes - The technobots.

Just think about it - the Technobots would look really out of place in any other toyline, but would fit seemlessly into FOC.

Technobots and Terrorcons could work well as FOC, but for Stunticons, Arielbots, Constructions, Seacons, Predacons would need to retain their earth modes

True but in Starscreams Brigade they were introduced as 5 Decepticon war criminals, that had their bodies taken away. So they could've been anything on Cybertron originaly.
As I recall the form that became Vortex was a old bomber plane.

also someone mention constructicons being from earth. I recall in the G1 show they were from cybertron and friends of Omega Supreme originally and helped build cybertron back in the days

Yeah, the only ones shown to be created AFTER the Transformers crashed on earth were Menasor, Superion, and Computron. The rest of them were either mentioned being around sooner or just showed up with no explanation.
