Nice review and pics! I've been looking everywhere for this guy in stores and he's impossible to find in this area so I finally have one on order with Hasbrotoyshop.com. Can't wait to get him.

Some of us have the patience to wait for Cybertron instead of blowing our money on the higher priced GF versions to get them sooner.

I just got mine in from the Hasbro Toy Shop.

    The Positives:
The overall look of both alt mode and 'bot mode goes along perfectly with his teammate Red Alert. He is also in scale with CD Red.

The sculpt of both modes is very satisfying.

    Weapons, weapons, weapons!

The cyberkey features are quite cool...I still want button activation 'tho. The fact that both cyberkey guns have hand grips in 'bot mode is a very nice detail.

Articulation is all you could ask for. Much better than CD Red.

The colors are perfect for Scattorshot.

His "normal" handgun fits nicely onto his minicon pegs for alt mode storage.

The way they implemented the swiveling turret into the overall engineering of the toy is pretty clever.

    And now, the downsides:
Transformation is braindead simple. It's more or less a case of alt mode on the topside and 'bot mode on the underside. Flip his leg flaps down, flip his arms forward, flip his head forward...that's it.

His 'bot mode arms are just kinda....there....in alt mode.

'Bot mode head is visible in alt mode when the missle launcher is raised.

In all it's a very nice toy that I can't complain much about. The positives heavily outweigh the negatives. I reccomend him to all Trans-fans. He gets a healthy "B".

Finally found CD Scattorshot on Saturday and I'm a fan...great articulation, sweet alt. mode, and a cool robot mode, plus a key gimmick that both enhances playability and doesn't get in the way of making the actual toy fun.

    Solid A.

I nabbed this badass today in my Cybertron mega-haul. I went from feeling almost helplessly behind to fully caught up! He rocks. He LOOKS great in both modes, he has realllly good articulation, he's armed to the teeth, I have no complaints whatsoever right now! definite buy, I give him an A!

I finally found CD scattorshot in the store yesterday & just wanted to make an observation. I think the Bot mode looks great, & the massive weapons look pretty cool to me. My problem came from the alt mode. It is a pretty solid figure, But when I saw it in package I thought it was mistransformed. If the launcher is up in the slightest, you can see pieces of the bot....when you look at the box pictures though, it doesn't seem to have that problem....I thought mine might be broken on top......

That's when I noticed the differences... The toy has 9 "wheels" molded in its treads & the picture only shows 7. Then I looked at the picture of the bot mode & noticed that the legs were supposed to telescope, but the actual toy doesn't have this feature. This is the reason why there seems to be a hole on the top of the toy's alt mode, because of the longer wheel base. The vehicle on the package is more compact. Was this a change from Galaxy Force to Cybertron to save money or is the GF the same as the Cyberton toy?

oh, well, it's better than it being stuck in, I think the Cybertron Defense team/ Vanguard team are gonna be well worth the money I'll have to spend on them.

    I didn't. I blew my money on a Cybertron-priced GF version :p .

Seriously, I got him for just under $30 CDN plus tax at a local import store, which was equal to the Cybertron price, give or take some penny change. Ditto for Sonic Bomber and First Gunner.

Anyways, though, the mold is awesome. Best Voyager-class figure of the line, easy.

And mocrzy, not having the Cybertron version, I haven't seen the box pics, so I have no clue, but mold-wise, the GF version is definitely the same as the Cybertron version. No telescoping limbs or anything.

Cybertron Defense Scattorshot is so much better than his scout size incarnation. His tank mode is fearsome, and the alt mode is ridiculously armed. He has replaced Evac as my favorite voyager and is easily my favorite Cybertron Defense member.

The slide out missile launcher is a lot of fun, heck a lot things are fun on this guy. His articulation gives him a lot great poses. It's funny how they still give him a gun when he has all these other weapons built in.

One small gripe is that the arm cannons aren't detachable are even rotatable. Still, this is something that deserves a spot on your shelf

actually, that doesn't bother me at all, what bothers me is that the launcher doesn't slide forward like the gun does, so you can't bend that elbow or raise the arm out to the side very much at all :(

and SS, glad to see you're finally catching up to us midwesterners :p  hehehe

Doesn't bother me much. It's a heavy rocket launcher. You don't swing your arms around much for those.
