Ok, so I am going and trying to orginize my collection and I noticed that my dark scorponok from Cybertron has the two pinchers/arms backwards... and seeing that I am like 5 years to late to try and get it fixed, I was wondering if anyone else saw this. I looked at an Ebay auciton and noticed the exact same thing so I am wondering how common it is!

    Not sure what you mean?

A pic, or a link to the auction would help.

If both arms are backwards just swap em. He's relatively easy to disassemble and reassemble.

both arms are backwards, I know that I can swap em I was just curious how often this happened. I will try to snap a pic sometime soon, but I dont have him infront of me now.. .basically the wheels on the claws are both facing the top of the scorpion rather than the ground.

The Superlink one has the arms upside down compared to the Energon one too.

The wheel up in scorpion mode are probably the correct way so they act as landing gear wheels in jet mode - but either way's fine I suppose.

I think it might be like that on al of them.

But it's not like Hasbro have never assembled anything wrong 2007 Leader Optimus has 4 pieces the wrong way around.

Hmm well I see the wheels are down in robot mode on mine. Never really considered the landing gear possibility for that mode.

RE: 2007 (Movie 1) Leader Optimus Prime and Night Watch Optimus Prime

Yeah the knees and the elbows are all backwards compare the CGI to the toy you can see the two little cylinders are on his knees at the front in the CGI and the circles on his arms are on the inside not the outside on the toy.

If you swap his entire mid arm assembly you can get the circles on the outside and not have to mess about with springs.

The knees being corrected is good as it means his legs can now move at a full right angle and don't bend forward a notch at the knee anymore like they do out of the box.

Classics Deluxe Megatron also has his feet on backwards.

I just checked tfwiki... as far as I can tell, their photos of all three (Energon, Cybertron Dark, Superlink) show the same assembly, namely wheels down in robot mode and up in scorpion mode. I think I'm okay leaving mine as they are, given that I normally display him in robot mode and think switching them would look worse there.

I DON'T KNOW IF THESE IMAGES WILL BE ANY HELP :

The arms and knees on the Night Watch (teal) one have been swapped ; The knees have not been swapped on the normal colour one (they need to be swapped from the way shown on the Red & Blue to the way shown on the Teal versions)

    The feet on this Megatron have been swapped it allows them to fold up properly in vehicle mode ;

Oh and the knees have been swapped on this guy - you should be able to see the cylinder on the front of the knee that give extra movement to him when they are swapped to this way.

I think the wheels were down on my Dark Scorponok as well but they are the other way up now as I swapped them back when I had to operate on him as his arm joint fractured inside due to a mould flaw.

awesome thanks guys... I really appriciate the help!!! I am happy to hear I dont have to rip it apart to fix a QC error... I do enough QC repairs at work!!! I am happy I dont have to do it much at home...

Ohh and the worst QC issue i had was when I bought my reissue laser rod prime and found the trailer was missin a long pin holding it together... so I had to buy a junker laser rod trialer just to fix my re-issue... and again... nothing i could have done about it... bought at a convention, and had no way of exchanging it for a good version!
