i just watched episode 24 of Cybertron Invasion
i can only watch online as it isn'tscreened in Australia on free to air tv so im a fare bit behind
and im wondering why did they change Smokescreens name to Crosswise as i figured using Smokescreen would keep the name alive
so im guessing im just asking why the name change

Cybertron is on commercial network (Channel 10 6 am Saturdays)  

My son is really bugged with the same Smokescreen/Crosswise mixup, and I just tell him that Evac hadn't seen Crosswise for a long time so he couldn't remember the right name  

 

Smokescreen is the forthcomming repaint of Crosswise it seems.

 

Hasbro originally planned to name the toy "Smokescreen".

Eventually, however, they decided to name him "Crosswise" instead. Unfortunately, the people who dub the cartoon didn't get the memo, and thus the character ends up being called "Smokescreen" during the first few episodes he appears in. The error was eventually caught, however, and fixed for subsequent airings of those episodes as well as future episodes.

Regauding the toy, meanwhile, there seems to be a "Smokescreen" toy in the works, which is currently speculated to be a redeco of Crosswise.

damm how are kids supposed to buy a great toy if they dont get up until 7.30
when i was a kid tf's was shown at 8am on a saturday atleast i was up and eating brekkie while watching

 

Yeah I know. No kids can catch it unless they know it's on that time and set VCR timer or something (which we do).

But at least they are doing a better job than when they aired Armada. Back then they changed the schedule all the time.

 

well at least there showin it where you guys are so far in the uk we just arrived on animators and now its not on......the batman is on instead
