Cybertron #33 review *updated for #34!* So yes, there's a spoiler or two here probably. Episode name: Darkness Hightlights of the episode: Crumplezone being reformatted by 'ghost' Megatron into Dark Crumplezone (although retains the name Crumplezone, just simply reformatted by 'dark' powers of Megatrons ghost) Emergence of Nemesis Breaker a bit of characterisation/leadership shown for Leobreaker. Thundercracker laying down good firepower onto Jetfire. Lack of children (even though these ones are somewhat tolerable) best quotes of the episode: 'all hail the new leader of the speed planet, King Crumplezone the First! ... i like the sound of that!!!' - Crumplezone 'enough with the comic relief! - Prime Jetfire: looks like i've got some bigger fish to fry! *leaves the battle with scourge* 'must i endure such insults?!' - Scourge All in all, the episode was pretty average, not a whole lot happened (apart from the Decepticon army getting a bit boosted). Prime has his little 'Megatron will fail because he only wants power, and the bestest team is following him and will never let him suceed' rant at the end as Megs tricks him and runs after the Omega lock. No Starscream/Sideways in this ep, and Thunderblast has no speaking role. For a while, it seemed Crumplezone was actually powerful, but yet he managed to retain his comic-relief role by the end of the episode. Next few episodes should be much better...only a few eps until Soundwave turns up!! *is excited* I can't wait to hear his voice......
ooooh right, forgot to mention that. Yeah it did, Dark Claw. Lame, i know...but hey, what're you going to do?
Okay thanks......Nemesis Breaker didn't talk did he? Cause I recall the Energon dubbers giving lines to the Terrorcons.
Nemesis Breaker hasn't spoken so far, but he only appeared in yesterdays episode, so the next episode, airing tommorow, will tell, although he never spoke in Galaxy Force, did he? so i doubt he would here, just a manifestation of Leobreakers hate.
Another question, did the dub add any clue as to how Megatron came back? In Galaxy Force it was a case of "Yay! Megatron's dead... Oh no! That's Megatron! He's not dead!" and no real explanation of how. Any clue as to where the dark mist comes from, or even why Megatron isn't spacedust?
Umm, yeah i believe they did. When Megatron realised what was going on, he questioned himself as to how he was able to exist, since he knew he had been destroyed, he then figured that the armour of Unicron gave him the ability to rebuild himself (much like Unicron did in Armada). He also found that the dark matter could be controlled, and used it to absorb a Scrapmetal that attacked him. When Ransack cried out to Megatron to help Crumplezone, he manipulated the black fog to ressurect/upgrade him. But when Leobreaker and a few other Autobots took him on, Leobreaker seemingly made Megs use the power to rejuvenate his body, thus loosing the black fog, but used what remained of it to create Nemesis Breaker. new episode airs in about 3 hours, might have more answers and more information then.
alrighty, brakedown ( ) of the latest ep: Cybertron #34 - Memory Hightlights: - Megs/Nemesis Breaker combination footage, although i'm utterly sick of stock footage in this series, i do enjoy this one, i was suprised to see that they'd made Nemesis's entirely new, and not just done Leobreakers, but with Nemesis's colours. - G1 Soundwave appearance - Starscream confronting Thunderblast Overall, it was a pretty boring episode, but there was a few references and throwbacks to other things, such as Sideways saying "in space, no one can hear you whine" (instead of scream). Gigantion was mentioned again. Otherwise, it was a heavily kid-oritentated episode, but was also a welcome relief from Prime's normal ranting on about the cyber key crap. What was interesting was when Sideways was listening to Soundwave, instead of humming a beat like he did in GF, he actually sung a *real*line of a song. I can't remember the song, or lyrics sadly, but it was a lyric i'd heard before because when he said it i thought 'wait....i know that song' but then Starscream interrupts him (but the sounds Soundwave make was just a generic cybertron backing track). also of note, Nemesis Breaker growled once or twice, no vocals. overall it wasn't the best, but the lead up to Soundwave and Gigantion are all but a few episodes away.
Sounds pretty sweet, I hope they leave Nem Breaker mute though hes better like that he seems more zombie like.
yeah, Meg's basicially just calls him 'kitty'. And says it's just a clone of Leobreaker, born from his hate.
