Well, I was bored and wanted to do a custom and I decided to pimp out my CW Sunstreaker and I thought him with no paint looked really bad. So here it is! Robot mode additions: -Light blue paint on the combiner port and lower chest -Metallic paint on chest engine, knees and grill -Yellow applied to the yellow parts -Black Paint applied to black parts Vehicle mode -Metallic painted spoiler -Blue from the chest pops in the front (took 5 seconds to grow on me) -Yellow Paint applied to the yellow parts -Black Paint applied to black parts Enjoy!
The paint looks very streaky and the brush strokes are very visible. Might I suggest thinning out your paints a bit and using primer? ...also why did you add yellow paint on the already yellow parts? Seems a bit like a waste to me, especially since the colour of paint is very very similar to the paint on the plastic...
I am pretty new to painting, I still need to pick up some primer and I have never done thinning. The yellow plastic on CW Sunstreaker is very bad, it is an off-color yellow that doesn't look like Sunstreaker and it is greenish when it is near the Black plastic, it looks bad and this gave it a Unite Warriors color scheme without loosing the very stylish read UW casually left out. Along with some other custom details. Comparison:
On camera, the unpainted sections near the yellow paint look very very similar to me, with a slightly different hue.
