Cyclonus needed a team and after much thought, while a viewing of the 86 movie, I thought who better than Skywarp and Thundercracker. Maybe a little twisted, but I like it.

Made from G1 CW Air Raid and Skydive for Skywarp and G2 CW Air Raid and Skydive for Thundercracker. I also modded the weapons to fit together, not sure where I originally saw the mod, but I liked it and copied it.

I like it. I wanted to make a Dirge and Thrust from that mold so I could put them with the Starscream I'm going to make from Cyclonus. I just need a single release Takara Blastoff to make an Astrotrain. I'm thinking I'll use First Aid for Soundwave.

Even though I'm not a fan of those headsculpts for those two, I still really like how you did with the colors.

    Nice work all the same.

I had considered repainting Cyclonus into Starscream too, but I found I liked the idea of Cyclonus having these two as limbs based on the whole "Which one was turned into Cyclonus in the movie" thing that used to come up over the years.

I'm not a fan of the headsculpts either, but it was one of those work with what you have kind of thing.

    I agree!

Now you just need to redeco two more into Acid Storm and Sunstorm (because a still-living Starscream would NEVER be someone ELSE'S limb) and have a whole combiner.

Nice work, there was a shapeways head for that mold for Starscream if that helps. This mold was a wasted opportunity for Hasbro as they could have easily done this themselves. At least unlike Takara, you used the right mold. Paint is very clean and looks great!

Very nice, clean paint. Agree about the heads. I wonder if an Armada Starscream head would fit?

I think I remember seeing somewhere a mod that allowed the intakes to be separated from the canopy, and then they were stuck on the sides of the head, as the original Seekers had them.

Not sure if this is the same mod you're thinking of, but this is what I did for my CW Seeker:

Yes, that's it. I think someone made a full seeker combiner, using Silverbolt as black G2 Starscream.

Also, that's the robot masters character, which i love, but I've forgotten the name of.

My whole reasoning is to make the Mega-Scream combiner from that "what if" comic about the G1 movie.

I thought about it, but I'm leaving it as Cyclonus and it really doesn't make a lot of sense to me to have any other Seekers as limbs for Cyclonus. Only because these two were reformed into Scourge and Cyclonus' "armada" minion in the 86 movie.

Yeah I looked into the Shapeways head, but I just can't get into Shapeways parts because I have yet to see a decent Shapeways part that doesn't look half finished. Thankfully, all I had to paint were the details, the figures were already molded in the blue and black. The silver chest on Thundercracker was part of G2 Air Raid, but I did have to paint Skywarp's chest to match.

Thanks! Deluxe Generations Armada Starscream head was too small and original Armada Starscream head was too big. I considered using FOC Seeker heads, but they were slightly too small as well and just didn't look right to me. Plus, I wasn't sure I wanted to do the mods to make them into ball jointed heads.

That mod is pretty cool, I may look more into that one :)

    Makes perfect sense

    Thanks!

I might "steal" this idea to make a Slipstream for my "Decepti-femme" combiner, if you don't mind.

It's Air Hunter! I sort of re-purposed him into a Seeker because he was just such a good fit with that head mold!

Yes, that's it. I believe you were asking us what you should repaint it into, and I suggested that character?

As for the Skywarp and Thundercracker customs, that paint-work is absolutely phenomenal, AutobotSDG! :)
