Started this a while ago and got motivated recently to finish it up. Basically, I hate the lower body of the Onslaught mold, especially in combiner mode; I can't stand the stock transformation, but in fan mode, the legs (thighs particularly) and hips are floppy and off proportion, but I didn't want to buy yet another aftermarket kit (TDW) to make them more appropriate. Since the Motormaster mold generally sucks and I have several of them laying around from past holiday clearance sales, I basically pulled the lower half of a Motormaster fodder body (from the lower ab/hinge section down) and stuck it inside a dremeled out Onslaught. Doing this gives Onslaught/Bruticus a waist swivel, and also improves the look a TON (in my opinion) by beefing up his legs from the thighs down. Articulation is also vastly improved (provided that you had a tightened up Motormaster to begin with). He still maintains his alt mode decently as well. All that's left now is to paint up everything properly and clean up the dremeled areas at Onslaught's crotch. With my POTP Blast Off on the way, this guy will probably take over my default Bruticus position from my Unite Warriors version; he just looks tougher now and is more fun to play with. =)
Updated with some paint. Ended up not buying quite the right spray paint for the legs, but close enough for now.

That's damn impressive! Never thought about that, but it works pretty well! As a Combaticon fanboy, I have to say I'm jealous I don't have the workspace for customs such as this. Excited to see it painted and combined with the new Blast Off!

This is a great idea and well executed.
I’ve long thought the lower body of the onslaught/hotspot figures were pretty poor. This is an excellent fix.
And gives Bruticus a bit extra leg power too.
    Nice job.

Thanks! I'm planning to apply the same mod to Hot Spot and Pyra Magna, but i just have to solve how to attach their feet/cockpits to the bottom of the Motormaster legs, since their alt modes are reversed from Onslaught's. But yeah, it does wonders for the combined mode. Too bad Hasbro didn't get it right themselves from the beginning and save me money though. Lol

It can be somewhat challenging for a beginner. It definitely helps to have experience taking apart the CW figures. You'll need to pop 2 pins on Motormaster in order to get his lower ab section, crotch, and legs freed up, and you also need to get familiar with disassembling the Onslaught mold and Motormaster's hips and legs. A decent amount of cutting and dremeling is needed as well.
Typing all that out, it now looks pretty complicated... Lol. It honestly took me less than an hour to do the initial part swap and mod (minus painting time), but I've been modding/customizing for a while. I probably wouldn't recommend this mod for someone just starting out unless they're pretty confident .

Wow, he actually looks pretty good with Motormaster's legs. I would've never expected that.

Onslaught went and got a leg workout!

In all seriousness, this this awesome work! CW is my fave of the Prime Wars trilogy and it's awesomr to still see stuff like this going on today! I am curious to see how your Hotspot turns out, so I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this project!

Here you go... just need to paint the legs up. Hot Spot and Victorion require a little more work to get the ladder to fit over the new crotch section, but other than that, it's the same process.

Here you go. I still need to add some purple sections to the legs, and also clean the crotch up as it didn't cut cleanly since he was the "prototype" for the mod. I dig his new proportions though.

My god! It's awesome! Though I have a way to do something similar just by transforming Onslaught differently
