Note: Thought about it, and I'm calling this guy "Omegatron" now... can't change the title of the thread though. =P

Ever since I got my hands on Optimus Maximus, I always thought it'd be cool if Megatron had his own "combiner mode", so I finally got on it and made it happen. Got ahold of a $12 CW Motormaster and tore him apart, repainted the pieces to be more "Megatronny", and assembled him up. It was all ridiculously easy to do, and the best part is no alteration of the CW Leader Megatron was necessary, so his stock parts go right back in as normal for "factory mode". Planning to get my hands on some of the Superion deluxes and will be using Rook to make custom limb versions of the 3 seekers and Soundwave, and also working on his fusion cannon. Very happy with how he turned out, and he's solid! Omegatron, merge for the kill! =)
UPDATE: 2 words: Turret Shield =)

    Okay, so, short process is:

    1. Remove CW Megatron's internal turret assembly from inside his chest
    2. Remove all wheels from CW Motormaster, and then remove his lower arms (take the hands off as well) and lower legs below the thigh swivel. Take the flaps off the forearms too at this point.
    3. Remove CW Megatron's lower legs from below the thigh swivel and replace them with the Motormaster legs
    4. Find a post or rod of some sort (I used a wooden dowel for now but will replace with a styrene rod) that will fit into the wheel holes on Motormaster's forearms (make sure it's just thick enough so the forearms press fit on tightly), and cut the post so that the forearms rest very snuggly against the Megatron torso once they are pressed onto the post.
    5. Boom, you're done! Find some CW limbs of your choice, then go beat the crap out of some Autobots! =) Obviously, you'll want to paint everything accordingly, and eventually a fusion cannon of some kind will need to be worked out, but if you did all the steps above correctly, you too now have a badass Megatron Combiner on your shelf. Enjoy!

it looks pretty cool, but I'm operating under the assumption Megatron can't function on his own after this mod.

I think that should be kinda obvious since he's wearing Motormaster parts now. =) But like I mentioned, his stock parts all go back in easily to take him back to factory mode since there are no permanent mods to his body at all.

Great job. I think it's genius. No harm done to Megatron to be able to perform this is just a "Job well done". Very inspiring. Critics that lack attention to details. haha

Can this new Megatron transform into anything resembling an alt mode?

Nope. His stock parts need to go back on if I feel like putting him back into tank mode. I only focused on getting a workable torso mode.

If I find one in store I'll have to try that out! He'll have to be a sidearm to his Fusion Overdrive Cannon though... digging how mean it looks. =)

Is that a Soundwave utilizing the CW Rook mould?

Soundwave's chest is a little too big or his head is too big in his robot mode, but he looks wonderful in his other modes

    I think you meant "Ger-ger-genius"?

(The way you wrote it suggests that the " G" sound is /g/, rather than the "soft" sound of /dj/, as in "giraffe", "genius", "Germany", etc).

Yeah, his primary function is combiner limb mode, the other modes were just kind of afterthoughts.

Here you go... repainted and modded this guy a while ago.
