Starting the new year with a finished custom and as i mentioned in my Siege Bulkhead post i am building the ranks of my wreckers. This time I didn't want just a sip, i decided to GUZZLE! haha. Guzzle is made from a CW brawl and is based off his G1 color scheme. He uses a head from shapeways. I decided to keep the thighs silver/grey to help break up the white. I fixed the floppy waist by doing a little cutting and reworking. Now it locks in place and he still retains his waist swivel. The biggest mod here is the legs, specifically the knees. the legs are flipped so the treads are now facing the front in robot mode. I had to pop a few pins and snip some plastic but everything works as intended and doesn't affect transformation or require parts-forming to transform. I didn't change the color of the tank shell because depending on the picture you find when you google him he is different colors from grey to green to any shade in between. Thus i just left it alone. The head from shapeways is supposed to be made for this mold but its a little big so he does have some mild peek a boo visible head syndrome. I don't mind it though. And a group shot here of my WIP and completed Wreckers Hope you enjoyed my first finished custom this year and look forward to more.
I dont know if u can see but I shaved down the 2 tabs the black swivel rested on and cut the one section so it was just a tab in the middle then cut the black section to accept the tab
Used to love my G1 Guzzle this mold choice does him justice would of gone for grey tank myself like the old toy but I know what you mean about the varied images. I was looking for a modern day Guzzle think after seeing this I'll pick up a cheap ko Brawl.
Yeah I was going to do grey but decided not to. I actually used a KO brawl from sirtoys to make this. The leg mod really helps separate him from brawl too. If you give this a go and need help flipping the knees I can try to help you out
