Previous thread: Stunticons Wasn't a fan of Offroad...But I also don't like Frankenstein Cowboy WildRider. But mostly I wanted the fourth member to be UNIQUE from the other three, and i've mostly seen either Deadend or Breakdown's mold to make Wildrider. So instead I went with turning the Legends Blackjack into a Deluxe Limb. Base figure was CW Crosswise with a retooled head and swapped combiner port. Blackjack's Axe/Cannon was made out of a Armada Cyclonus tail and a Constructibots gun handle. I was pretty happy with how this figure turned out and it definitely fits well with the other Stunticons. Most importantly for me though is that he's very different from Deadend overall. But of course, the real question is; How does he look on Menasor? Or better yet. How do you fix a combiner that looks like it's constantly trying to ride a horse?
Nice homage. Paint could still use to be thinned out though. It will drastically reduce the amount of brush strokes you'll see and get you ever closer to that airbrushed look. Look into the Perfect Effect kit. The first time I assembled CW Menasor I was disappointed to say the least. The PE kit made a huge difference.
That looks stunning! I wish I would have thought of it myself. I think the headsculpt may need a bit of work as well. It looks kind of lumpy in the up-close shots.
I did that initially myself. But the problem I found was that it's not that stable and looks kind of silly from the side. But hey, I'm actually kind of glad Hasbro designed it this poorly. Gave me the opportunity to make something much more "Menacing". I'll be posting the Menasor (3/3) thread later today. So hopefully you'll all agree when you see the result.
