Yup, the figures look cheap. I'd rather hunt down the older releases than the new combining figures.

I started to say, that it depends on what Reprolabels does with it (hoping for Thunderclash), but the more I look at the original Thunderclash the more I realize that it would have to be a lot of stickers. Then, there are the mold differences. I'd rather see a complete remold. So.... I'm even more on the fence. Too many recolors sap my brand loyalty.

I don't buy 3rd party figures. Only the good looking 1st party stuff. Or nothing.

Absolutely. Not being a huge fan of G1 accuracy, I'll take detailed sculpts and interesting transformations over the combining gimmick. The jets all transform more or less the same which makes them kinda boring in my opinion (they all literally have the same legs), and the Wheeljack wave, compared to their classics versions? Laughable. Especially at the price.

I see many comments about people wanting to pick this figure up on a deep discount. Does anybody honestly believe that this figure/wave will end up at Ross or be half-off on Amazon?

That's definitely possible. The only CW figure I've bought so far is the G1 deco Leader Megatron.

I personally think the majority of the CW figures look like junk. The only figures that look good to me are the Protectobots and Combaticons. I'd buy the Protectobots, but I can't find them anywhere and they don't look THAT good to where I'd pay inflated online prices for them. I am looking forward to the Combaticons just because I'm a pretty big Combaticon/Bruticus fanboy, though. I'll get them even if I have to deal with the inflated online prices.

This. I'd want first aid, but cheapest I find online is 26€. No way in hell I'm paying 26 for that figure. And I'm waiting for swindle.

I agree too. I really liked the first CW Optimus Prime. The brawler aspect and his size - bigger than the first Classics, but shorter than the other "big" characters like Jetfire. And I like Megatron being bigger than him (like TF Animated). Makes Megatron more imposing as a villain. I'll never display CW Optimus combined I think... I like the Motormaster use of the mold and Menasor.

I was going to pass until Nonnef revealed plans to make a kit to turn it into Thunderclash. That makes him a likely pick up, just not at full price.

I prefer the mold as Motormaster, and generally don't buy repaints, so he's not for me. Hope others enjoy it though.

Im getting it. But the Autobot symbol(s) are getting painted over. It's likely the closest I'll ever get to an actual Nova Prime toy.
