I regret buying the first optimus there is no way I am buying another.

 

I'm getting him, but I'd be in much more of a hurry to do so if they had fixed the chest pegs. Turns it from a "I'll pay the nerd tax and get it early from BBTS" to "when I see it on the shelves, eventually."

 

I'll be getting him for the sole purpose of throwing those extra characters/limbs (Alpha Bravo, Rook, and Offroad) at him.

 

I'm fine with the regular Optimus so no. Plus, it will contribute to the imbalance of too many Autobots in this line.

 

I'm surprised by all of the hate for this mold. i thought he was pretty cool even before I reprolabeled him and installed nonnef's hip ratchets.

 

I kinda like the look of him but I don't need him or OP Max. I'd possibly get the Maximus team if BBTS has them all in stock and on sale, at one point, assuming I also have the spare cash at the same time.

Gotta agree, I love this mold. Always liked how much they made Prime look like a brawler. And the fan-transformations more than fix the awkward combiner hips, while giving him an appropriate height advantage over some of the other gesaults.

 

It's a horrible mold to begin with. I wouldn't buy that figure no matter what color they paint it.

 

I might get it just to steal the head, paint it and slap it on the first Prime... That head is far superior...

 

I'm fine with CW Optimus, but I see no point in this mold. If we get a production release Thunderclash upgrade kit that isn't ridiculously expensive, I might get it.

 

If I find him for $10-13 at Ross or TJMaxx, why not? Not buying him on sight, though.

 

I'm passing on most CW stuff. This is no exception.

 

 

Sorry...that's just something I rarely hear or see uttered. Passing on Combiner Wars....is that even possible?  

 

Glad I passed on the original Prime, so I wanna get this guy. Definately will repurpose him as Nova Prime...

 

Pass, pointless repaint fodder, just like the deluxes. Focusing on actual combiner teams that existed, not made up repaint junk.

 

I'd be more excited if the repaints were all new characters, Decepticons and Autobots alike, who could fill out the ranks for Optimus and Galvatronus. But I understand the effort to get those characters into collectors' hands if they've only recently joined the party. It's been 9 years since the last retail Mirage.

 

I agree with you on that part.

 

I'm only interested in maybe two figures that are not even out yet. I might be interested in a Predaking. I'm not really thrilled by this line.

 

True, but for an oldie like me who has all the Chuggs, whatever they call it now a days, they do nothing for me.
