Wanted to get opinions from you guys.

I've never collected the movie line before but I really like Leader Prime. I'd also love leader megs if his color scheme didn't look so factory stock.

my basic question is...i have never done any customizing of any kind. I've got an airbrush that i bought 15 years ago but have never used for various reasons...

I would love to get leader prime more "colorful." Not necessarily 100% accurate, but enough so it looks nice, if that makes any sense. Having done zero customizing previously, do you think it is practical for me to try and repaint leader prime, and subsequently leader megs? Or should I buy a scout or deluxe class and try my hand at that first to "practice." Of course, I'd have to read all the tutorials here, I suppose I just wanted to know what advice could be had in terms of going for this right now, or starting small first.

    thanks

i would say do a scout first, if it turns out do a dlx (on sale in some places) and if you think it will turn out well, then go for it, you always want to practice first...

Yeah practice on something smaller and cheaper first mate. LDR prime is a beast to repaint for a beginner, hell even people who know what they are doing have a hard time painting him.

balls to the wall, go all out on a leader I say. The more details, the more practice. After you knock out Leader Prime, anything smaller will be a walk in the park.

heh consensus is split. alright i'll do prime and go to tru and pick up a deluxe i personally have no preference for...so in case it gets ruined, it's not the worst. Think i'll learn a lot by doing a fig that I want to turn out right (Prime) and a deluxe I have no preference for (have to pick one) simultaneously, thanks fellas
