Does anyone know what kind of head joint this mold has? Is it a ball joint? If so, is it the same size ball joint as the WFC or Classics Cliffjumper/Bumblebee mold? Thanks in advance.
I think this came up previously in another thread that it wouldn't fit as a headswap, but I don't remember where, or why it wouldn't work.
My guess, he's either planning on transplanting GDO's head onto the WFC or Classics body, or the FE-style head onto the WFC body for an FOC Cliffy.
The head won't fit. The Classics figure uses a head on a balljoint, whereas the GDO and FE versions use a head on a post. The WFC version will fit on Classics Cliffjumper, but the red plastic is a slightly different shade. ~Matt Booker
Swell, that's what I was afraid of. I figured it was cheaper to use that Cliffy head than to buy the upgrade kits. Oh well, Devil Horns it is.
Ok. FE: Ball joint WFC: Ball joint PRID: Post PRID is out of the question without extensive mods. FE and WFC have different sized ball joints, but that's not hard to change. If you really want an FOC Cliffjumper, here's your best option: Rock Shooter head by fakebusker83 on Shapeways
Okay, so the FE mold DOES have a ball joint similar to Classics/WFC Cliffy? And maybe all I have to do is sand the joint down a touch to fit? Sweetsville...
I was hoping to put Prime Cliffy's head on GDO Cliffy and GDO Cliffy's head on Classics Cliffy, but from the sounds of it this is all impossible.
But they DO have a Shapeways TFP looking head that you can get for GDO Cliffy. That might be your best bet, unless you can find someone on here who has one of those 3rd party Terrorcon Cliff heads on their FE Cliff and are willing to give up the OG head.
Thanks for all your advice on the PRID head to GDO body. I guess I will just stick with the PRID Cliffjumper. I have passed up the GDO Cliffjumper twice now because I wasn't sure if the head could be changed easily. Now I don't feel bad about passing him up.
