I've liked many of the UM toys from G1 all the way to Animated, but this is a very worthy custom and a perfect example of what we should've gotten with the Masterpiece line.

The small red parts on the back/top of the car carrier, those are going over the upper legs of Magnus? You should add articulated hands, since they are 'add-ons' anyway, you have the room for them. I'm scared to see what's next from you!! I want to visit the boxes of G1 TFs I have here for more than just extra parts. I have some treasures in there, and you've given me the motivation and idea to grab some of them and revamp them to better figures.

You sir are very creative and how you made this your own Ultra Magnus..superb. But I like the City Commander the best, but it doesn't take away from what you've done...no. I think its incredibly kickass and all around oozes with awesomeness. So great job, hope to see more from you down the road very soon.

WoW just wow, first time in several years now where ive actually hunted out my bits box again and thought about customising, truly inspiring custom here, as a previous poster mentioned a tutorial would be amazing, or a rough talk through it even   if you dont mind sharing anyway

This custom makes me want to start on him TODAY!!

Just when I was thinking about hanging up my kitbashing tools soon, you tempt me to keep it out for a bit longer cuz now I want to make my own! Excellent job. I agree, articulated hands would add to an already awesome custom. You should buy a pair of Alt hands from Ptivite. And another very nice stop motion animation to boot.

As a general comment, would it be possible to set Radicons up the way the rest of the board is in terms of attachments, where a thumbnail version of the image is clickable? Lately people have been posting pics larger than the screen size of any computer I have access to.

Thank you for the hand suggestion, and that is what I want to do to finish it, a pair of hand and maybe a SMT LED. I will post more pics after that is done.
I am really glad if this custom could give you guys some new ideas, and I will be excited to see some upgraded version of UM.
I didn't take pictures during this custom, since I think this is pretty straight forward custom. Basically, I integrated two group of G1 armors into him, one front, one on the back.
For the metroplex custom, I will update more WIP pics in the old post.

 

Dare I say I think this out-awesomes the FansProject City Commander.
