My custom idea is to mix G1 and IDW comic style while they should fit into the classic series, which is my favorite toy line.
Spotlight Ultra Magnus, I don't like this style very much

but I like the UM in spotlight Arcee, heavy armor, strong enough


Till now, hasbro didn't produce any perfect UM toy. All the UM toys with armor are listed below.

RID UM, nice trailer mode but robot mode sacrifice too much for the combiner

This is AWESOME! I love everything about it--it now works as a car carrier AND the armor looks more like Ultra Magnus than any of the others (including the City Commander armor, which I really like). The transformation sequence is very cool (just like Metroplex) and I'll say that I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of yours, bro (you're becoming one of my favorite 'bashers). My ONLY gripe about this, is the fact that the trailer doesn't sit flush with the back of Classics Ultra Magnus (it looks lifted a bit), but other than that, perfection.

DUDE! Ultra Magnus!!!! You have made my day. His proportions work so well. He has just enough shape. The additions to the trailer are fun and I'm going to need some time to try and figure them out. You've done a great job. I love it.

About the car mode, I forgot the lift the UM's knee armor up when I took the pictures. What I should work on it is to replace the trailer's wheel and change the hand.

 

Wow, just wow. This is true to UM's Alt purpose. If you have a shrine, I would worship you  

 

sweet! but the head needs some cleaning and the blue needs to be repainted to match it.. other than that, your engineering is remarkable!!

I love that you changed up the basic transformation a bit... the bulky proportions really give him a sense of power. And I really like the headsculpt you created... great work on that!

Holy Ass Clowns!!! This is incredible! You're kicking some serious ass!

 

One of the best UM I've seen. Only problem is the head seems a bit too small. It does make him look like a hulking brute though with a relatively smaller head.

 

I have been looking at the pictures, and trying to think of some snazzy compliment. But, man, I tell you, it just looks wondeful. It oozes power and the head you made looks perfect for the mold as an updated classics. The Alt mode is a lil off to me, but still super cool that yiu can tote the rest of the Bots around.

If you don't mind, I would love to try my own version of this awesome bash on day. I'm a truly impressed, and I can't wait to see how this bad boy finishes out.  

 

Great work, you've done an awesome job there. The proportions are bang on, great articulation, looks really powerful but dynamic as well. Definitely one of the best takes on Ultra Magnus I've seen here.
