Hello everyone. Draoss here back with my 3rd ever custom that I finished recently. And it only took 7 years......

Before I start pictures, I want to say great thanks to Snaketales as my Trailbreaker was inspired by his own years ago. Here is the link to his pictures(assuming the link works):
custom classics Trailbreaker (take two). If that doesnt work, let me know and I will post a screenshot of it.

So here is mine starting with robot mode:
    1586288384182550918633501591628.jpg

Started him alongside Hoist(yet to be shown) in mid 2013 because the OG Trailbreaker bodytype is #2 on my list of favorites and Tb himself is one of my favorite Autobots, yet outside of G1, he never got a great representation in deluxe toy form either be cause he was a repaint(so no unique bodytype) OR he was too short(Generations Trailbreaker and Hoist anybody?). Mercifully I have my 3p alternative take on both him and Hoist to slay the itch for the MP scale and we have Siege for the deluxe class(YAY!)

So I got back to him in May 2019. Finished 2 months ago with the last touches. He is made from Classics Kup's body with the head and wheels taken from Generations Trailcutter. I painted him with
    Rust-Oleum Semi Gloss Black
    Citadel Troll Slayer Orange
Citadel Mechanicus Standard Grey(for his feet)
Citadel Abandon Black(little details like windshield wipers)
    Testors Metallic Silver

Extra details are the G1 Trailbreaker Reprolables set.

Here he is with his accessories:
    1586288520685828476088950133835.jpg
His accessories I built from the shield emitter from G.Tb with a C-clip from a spare RTS Wheeljack's gun. The other guns are made from spare Energon Superion Maximus hand/foot parts and a ball jointed C-clip from classics Kup's gun. They are the first ever accessories I ever scratbuilt when i was starting out.
    158628857215858752385090757762.jpg
As for the shield I will post a How To thread or update this page later showing the build process tomorrow when I find the pictures. I can say it is made with styrene and Generations Trailbreaker's shield.
    Here he is fully armed:

Is the whole greater then the sum of it's parts? You decide!
    15862893073691811215832216346708.jpg
The shield does make it a touch hard to pose but it can be done.

    And just for fun:

    15862926095798517895663842928287.jpg
    Armed and in charge!

Now on to vehicle mode. 1586291932063214360324315083772.jpg

    15862919923761561867694618652921.jpg
The accessories can be stored and the camper unit clips in nicely:

    1586292287469358687000672818829.jpg
The clips are part of the camper piece at it's very back. They are painted black too so you might not see them. I will post a seperate How To thread with pictures of how I made it soon.

That is all for this thread ladies and gentlemen. But not for my older customs. But my list is shortening. Slowly.

Hope you like this one. Next time will be yet another old custom but also technically not. See you all then.

    Nice work!

I had forgotten I'd done this one. It got replaced long ago when official Trailbreaker figures started coming out.

Great work! This would have been super popular at retail a few years ago in the old chug days. Still looks great today

Thank you! I never thought I'd hear from the one who created the custom that inspired my own. It means alot.

This seriously wouldn't exist without your own efforts.

Hello. I'm back with the quick update that I promised for this custom.

For those who are wondering how I made the camper/shield, here it is:

After I finished measuring the dimensions of the back, working out the shape based on the Generations Trailcutter shield, cutting the styrene, assembling the outer shell and making the clips, I eyeballed i used a black twist tie and glued a piece of styrene to it: 20190418_101122.jpg

I then used a stray pin slider piece from the junker Quickslinger from my Streat-Beat custom and glued it to the inside:
    20190418_101138.jpg
    20190418_100834.jpg
It now acts as a bendable sliding flap.

Then I simply added a strip of styrene to G.TC'S shield for a bit of clearance, cut the guns so that they fold in with the front of the shield and tuck in and glued it all together: 20190418_100911.jpg

Sucess! Now add paint, add reprolables and done!

And that is how I did it. Hope you enjoy.
