Here is my custom titan returns squeezeplay. He is based largely off of the tv show rather than the toy. As you will see in the small images my inspiration for this custom. The shell is moulded from plasti-morph by hand. the majority of the body is skullcruncher while the arms/legs are from scourge. i wanted to keep the colors as accurate as possible. i painted the underside of the arm pink to make it look like the "shell" on the back. hes a little hunchbacked but so was the toy. the tail is also hand moulded with plasti-morph and styrene tubes for the end and connection points a little side by side with chromedome and to show its range of motion for the head. and of course a quick hello from titan master cancer the head is skullcrunchers, trimmed and remolded with some apoxie sculpt. the teeth is styrene tubes moulded into the mouth. the teeth were based off the toy. robot mode can homage the cartoon and toy. i think the chest needs the "stat" colors painted to give it some detail. the tail, like the toy, can be used as a gun. its a tight SQUEEZE in the back but it all fits. there's those pretty pink under-forearms. the legs can be folded down thanks to the articulation and the shell doubles as a shield giving a more cleaner backside and....why not? the beast head is on a lego mixel swivel joint so its possible to have the head horizontal and out like a tail, which was actually a thing in the cartoon. a comparison shot in robot mode with mr dome. looks like hes got the SQUEEZE on good ol chromedome while PLAYing with his gun. well there you have it. lots of time and effort went into this guy. he's my first custom. hope u enjoy and maybe inspire someone else to try to make this guy. Thanks for viewing.
Very nice. I'm loving the amount of detail you put into him. The use of Scourge's legs is also quite inspired.
Very nice. I agree, that is an inspired use of scourge's legs. Never would've thought of that. Well done on the sculpting as well.
thanks all. yeah the paint is testors gloss paints. i think its just the light shining on it making it so shiney. it was a small room with a bright light.
Cool. Looks like a really good job overall. I used to find that when I used high gloss paint, my customs looked nice in person but rough in pictures. They'd look like they were still wet and every tiny flaw stood out. Only way glossy paint like that comes out nice in pics (and better in person) is if you use thin enough coats that there are almost no bush strokes visible at all, and your line edges need to be as perfect as you can get them. Otherwise I'd suggest using masking tape and sprays for your gloss parts and stick to satin or flat colors when you can, still using thin coats (adding a second after the first dries if needed).
