I don't know what it is about these things, but I love em'! They are small, detailed, easy to paint, and I just crave the G1 aesthetic.

    So off we go!

    Soundblaster:

Always one of my all time favorite black repaints. He's a completely repainted Soundwave, using Citadel acrylics and a gold Decepticon decal.

    Frenzy & Rumble:

    Again, painted with Citadel acrylics.

    Laserbeak & Buzzsaw:

These were shapeways models I made and printed to test materials and different paints on. I ordered 2 so I could make both LB and BZ. I dyed them both first using black RIT and then painted using Citadel and Model Master acrylics. Laserbeak is WSF (White Strong & Flexible) and Buzzsaw is Frosted Detail. I almost like the WSF better because less detail feels more like Robot Heroes with evertyhing being less defined, and almost kind melty.

You can see the thread where these 2 were made here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/722053-who-wants-robot-heroes-laserbeak.html

    Twincast:

I really don't like this mold because it looks like he's in mid fall. I used a mixture of Tamiya and Citadel paints on this one.

    Shackwave:

I love this repaint of Shockwave. I have the grey version of him in every other mold so I figured I'd make a RH version to complete the collection. I used Citadel acrylics for the body, and I used Model Master glossy black on both their hoses to make them shiny.

    Thanks for checking them out!

Very cool, did you also customize a Paradron Medic from that Arcee/Rumble two pack?

Thanks for offering Laserbeak, I will be ordering two from your Shapeways store. I hope you can make Prowl too!

I'd love to make a ton of characters that were never produced, and no, I didn't get a Arcee. Most of the Robot Heroes I've purchased have come from board members parting our their collections. Thanks for your support! I hope you love them, and feel free to send me some pictures when they're done!

Haha, thanks! The nails were painted using HOC enamels and airbrushed with multiple layers of clear coat for a permanent finish. :D

Beautiful job! And huge thanks for responsible party for modeling this guy and adding to Shapeways.

Agreed. Here's hoping for Prowl some day. Since he has (at least) three versions for repaint potential (not to mention a blue-door Bluestreak... or the retcon black Baricade repaint that has been illustrated.) It would really flesh out the ranks if one got modeled.

I wish Hasbro hadn't dropped the ball on these, especially the G1 bots.
