I have been wanting to build this for quite a while now. Finally got all the supplies and built it this past weekend. Metroplex display cabinet. Shown next to precious little G1 Metroplex. I am trying to convert as many of my boring "soldiered" shelves to dioramas as space will allow. These are my oversized ko legends figures. No. It does not transform. Sorry.
Fantastic work. That's a great idea and well executed. You should be very proud of that. I really appreciate the displays that are more than just roll call line up. Im even more impressed you completed it in a weekend????
looks pretty damn sick nice job. i cant wait till you suprise us all and stand thar bad boy up to reveal his alt...lol
To be fair, I have been designing it for months now. Both in my head and autocad. Planned out the design around the materials that are available. Had I just gone to the store and bought stuff and started slapping it together, it would have taken 10 times as long. Good planning makes a better project
If they make more legends scaled headmasters, targetmasters and (I know I am reaching here) powermasters, I would likely make a Fort Max diorama like this.
I've always thought that Legends scale figures looked better (scale wise) on the U.S.S. Flag then next to G1 Metroplex. That thing was the biggest play set of its time and could double as a large coffee table these days.
You did an amazing job, lad. Amazing!! You've a great collection in the background. Can I ask about two of the figures? There's a version of Bluestreak facing off against Ramjet on board the Metroplex battlestation and amongst you Bumblebee display, there's one in his alt mode from the G1 pilot. What versions of Bluestreak and Bumblebee are they?
