Man a lot of work went into this guy to make him as good a figure as he really could be. Tons of body and mod work was done for both screen accuracy and articulation. Various layers of paint, dry-brushing, washes, and distressing techniques were used for as realistic corroded, rusty metal look as possible. This is without a doubt my biggest custom, in both size, and the amount of work and techniques put into it. The culmination of my work as a customizer so far. Enough about that, lets get to the details. Mods & Accessories included: *Extended tail, to round out proportions. This new tail has 3 points of articulation and can split and transform into 3 accessories. *Articulated Dino head. Which allows for some more dynamic poses in dino mode as well as allows the head to spin around for screen accurate robot mode pauldrons. *Articulated Dino arms. In addition to being slightly larger to, again, fill out proportions, the arms are now fully articulated, and do not interfere with transformation. *Articulated Robot hands. Fully articulated robot hands to grip weapons and crush enemies with dynamic dexterity. *Dragonfire Cannon. That extended tail section does more than just fill out proportions, it transforms into a massive double barreled canon! Reminiscent of Grimlock's G-1 firearm. *Tyrant Sword. Get it, cause it kinda sounds like tyrannosaur? Never mind. What Grimlock figure would be complete without a massive sword? It unfortunately has no proper storage space on his Dino-Mode *Various enhanced details for screen accuracy such as extra spines and spikes along the back, extra row of teeth, extra plating along the top of the head, hand sculpted horns, engraved cybertronian letters along certain area's. *Dragon's Throne. What Grimlock set would be complete without a fitting throne? *Grimlock's Crown. And what Throne wouldn't come with a crown? Modeled after G-1 Grimlock's original spiky crown, I took some creative liberties making it fit with Movie-verse Grimlock, by making the gold look corroded, and adding the cybertronian hieroglyphs aptly reading: "Me King" *The paint work. Every technique I know was used in several layers for the distressing used for this figure to achieve as accurate of a corroded, rusty, robotic dinosaur can look. *Fireblast Effect. While it didn't quite turn out like I had wanted, it's still a fun display piece and I will include it as a bonus Want to get a better look at this custom figure? Sacred Bovine, Batman!!! Probably THE best AOE Grimlock custom I have ever seen. The only thing that looks out of place is the sheer size of the cannon, but what the heck, this is bayverse transformers. "My, Grimlock, what a big cannon you have!" "The better to pwn you with, my dear!"
Great work! Incredible paint work and interesting accessoires! When he's siting on the throne - he's just like King Arthur
