If anyone does choose to use these they are not sized to fit, they are larger to make it easier to work with and need to be shrunk

The FOC Combaticons. Not the best but I needed something to work on while my nephew was over. No Bruticus because it would be too similar to Onslaught. If someone would be willing to clean these up a bit please do would love to see it

 

clean these up w/ some tasty vector lines and you'll have some pretty awesome stuff mate  

My buddy Tresob over on seibertron has been doing some experiments in this vein. He's also been doing some shapeways character vests and has started on some helmets. For whatever reason he doesn't appear to be on this forum and sticks to seibertron :/

Cool idea! I agree that these will be even more awesome when you start using vector lines!

 

you guys know a good software for vectors then, cause I know nothing about working with them

 

the top of the line is, of course, Adobe Illustrator but that comes w/ the $$ you would expect from the "industry standard". It's what I was trained with back in the day and it does have a steep learning curve.

The open source program that a lot of folks use is InkScape, I haven't looked at it in several years but it's probably the go-to program for those interested in doing vector stuff but not interested in Adobe.

For all my vector stuff I use Flash (CS5) because I find the drawing tools to be much more intuitive. It uses the same drawing engine as Freehand (now discontinued, thanks Adobe..  ) but you might be able to hunt down a copy of that somewhere.. they list it on the Adobe site and still want $400 for it... screw that!

 

I still have the program disk my pc came with that had photoshop on it, I should check if that has a version of illustrator on it. Thanks

well I honestly gave it my best shot at adding vectors to them. But I couldn't make it look good,bit outside my skillset for now. So I will stick with what I know for the time being

I tried to get these resized, but the size antapp sent me wasn't changed. so the problem is either on my end or the wrong file was sent. So it is still slightly DIY
