Hi guys. Sharing my custom Jetwing Revoltech Optimus Prime.

Intro: Was trying to imitate Bare Metal Chrome Foil using double sided tape and kitchen foil. Failed so I had a lot of spare foil left. Didn't want to waste the good looking foil so I made these.

    Custom Wings.
    Custom shoulder pads.
    Custom rocket flames.
Made of cardboard, kitchen foil, double sided tape, a pen and clear blue book contact.

PS. Thanks to Savio Prime for that sword. That colour was made custom for me :thumbs2:

This is probably the best photo but it has the corner of the light box in the way. :(

    How I made it:
    1. Cut out random shapes for wings out of cardboard.
    2. Glue foil onto wings.
    3. Cut a pen tube to make the engines.
    4. Drill holes diagonally in the pen tube.
    5. Cut pen ink tube. Make sure the ink tubes are the right size: they need to fit into Optimus Prime's gas tanks on his back.
    6. Thread pen ink tube through the drilled pen tube.
    7. Stick double sided tape to spare foil to make foil tape.
    8. Wrap the pen tubes in foil.
    9. Stick the wings to the engines using the foil tape. Position them as you please.
    10. For the exhaust pipe at the bottom of the engine, just use whatever of the pen is left. I used the back of the clicky retractable pen.
    11. Get tweezers with teeth and make imprints here and there for detail. (that was unintentional and I just noticed it right now :p )

    Flames:
    12. Wrap blue book contact around the pen lid, leave excess at the bottom. OR make a cone with the contact/sticker/ tape.
    13. Cut the excess to make zigzags.
    - any cool looking tape, stickers or book contact can be used for this. Clear blue was what I had plus its movie accurate.

    Shoulder Missile LAUNCHERS:
    14. cut a thin piece of carboard to the width you want the pads to be.
    15. Cut a small hole in the strip to make room for Optimus' smoke stacks.
    16. roll the strip into a rectangle.
    17. Wrap it in the foil tape. poke a hole through the tape where the holes for the smoke stacks were.

    Installation
    18. Place the pads onto his shoulders.
    19. using tweezers, hold the pen ink tube that is connected to the engines and insert into the gas tanks on his back. There is a hole in the middle of each gas tank.
    20. Somehow jam the flames into the bottom of the engines.
    21. GUNS. Revoltech Optimus Prime comes with a million guns. Organise them to your liking.
    Done:popcorn

Have a go, show me yours :)  and don't hesitate to comment :D

Nice work! Yeah, Bare Metal Foil is nothing like aluminum foil. It doesn't crinkle while you're handling it and it's MUCH easier to mold...

Thanks :)  It is much easier to work with. I got two sheets of it, one chrome and one ultra bright chrome. In the process of blinging up my buster prime.

I'm interested to see the difference between regular and bright. Are you able to avoid wrinkling?

Its got the same adhesiveness as the normal chrome except its reflective in colour.
