    Update

    Who doesn't like upgrades? :)

I've wanted to make Nautica more comics accurate for while now and I finally had the time and parts. I added the turbine wings and did some additional sculpting on the head and torso.

I needed a Nautica toy but couldn't wait for Hasbro to announce one so I just made my own. I used the RiD Vehicon and I think it worked really well. If Hasbro does eventually give us an official one and they end up retooling an existing toy, like they did for Chromia, this mold is perfect.

Vehicle mode is just a car pretending to be a sub but the jet vehicon was just a car with wings so I think I'm ok

    She's so cute :D

This works amazingly well for Nautica. :thumb . Though I think that the Jet Vehicon might be a better choice/

Thanks! She's a new character from the comics that showed up at the same time as Windblade.

    Thanks so much :D

I was thinking about the jet vehicon too but I don't have one. It's a shame it was never released in the US. Still, I'm happy with what I got :)

I think you mostly find her in the Windblade comic now.

Yeah, because doesn't she turn into an undersea vehicle of somekind?

Anyway - MAN THAT IS A GREAT JOB:rock

I haven't looked at a a picture of her to see how close the mold fits.. but honestly I don't think I want to bother. I think you made some fantastic, and I kind of want one just like it.

Actually, Nautica joined the Lost Light crew after the events of Dark Cybertron and is currently in the MTMTE comic. You won't find her at all in the Windblade series.

Anyway, great headsculpt and smooth paint job. I love the wrench. Who cares what her alt mode is. I still don't think she's transformed in the comic anyway. :)

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone! The headsculpt took me forever so I'm glad it looks right.

I'm not too worried about the vehicle mode since I won't really be transforming her but I do wonder what her alt mode is going to end up looking like in the comic. :)

Did you do the headsculpt completely by hand or did you 3D print a piece for it? Either way it looks fantastic! Great choice of a mold, the vehicon already had those fembot hips haha. Also, were the hands hand-made or preexisting hands retrofitted for the figure?

    Many thanks :)

The headsculpt was done by hand using a classics jetfire head as a base. The hands are just some spare gundam hands I had lying around but they were probably my favorite part of putting this figure together. After I cut off the old hands for the new ones I was like 'I have successfully performed a double hand transplant, mwuhaha' :lol

Hahaha very nice, those hands are quite expressive, and that headsculpt is awesome, even more so knowing it was done by hand!
