This custom Impactor is a commissioned piece

Client wanted a basic look, as seen in my custom Sunstorm http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/975851-custom-classics-chms-sunstorm.html
The color palette was mainly based off Impactor from Last Stand of the Wreckers.

This custom uses 3D printed parts from fellow member zoso1900

The finish on your orange is spectacular. What kind of prep work went into something so smooth and glossy and perfect?

I gotta say, this is the perfect Impactor.

All the accessories you could ever want, a perfect paint job, custom-designed parts to make it more than just a repaint...this is the Hot Toys version of Impactors! :)

Hasbro couldn't do better if they tried.

Thank you so much guys~ Your appreciation for my work means a lot to me! =)

I prep most of my figures in an ultra-sonic bath with some mild detergent to remove any oils. I also sand down bad rub points, and remove paint apps with 70% alcohol.
After applying a primer, paint is applied in multiple light coats and finished off with a satin varnish.

Why is the head different from the one available from zoso1900? Is it modified off of that or completely from scratch?

It is the head form the FOC Impactor if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, I used Zoso1900 second impactor kit that did not include the head. For the impactors head I used FOC Impactor's head
