Really curious to see what the cost would be! I'll just chalk it up to paying a premium for a work of art, hah

Just wanted to voice support for this, I can handle the painting myself if need be. Thank you for doing this and sharing the results.

Saw this in the Rouge thread and I'm like what the heck? Are you just a massive pessimist or modest to the point of being eternally self-deprecating? :)  Sorry don't take it as a dig!

I haven't been elsewhere, but here all I see is people saying how awesome your work is and hoping there is or will be some way to throw money at you for these! If you didn't disable PMs you'd also have an inbox full of people trying to throw money at you! What would it take for you to think people are interested? 1000 likes? Front paged? :)

I for one think your work is perfectly observed and would pay handsomely to get your chest and a couple of faces if it ever becomes possible, and I really hope it does! As the creator, you'll feel you can/should tweak them forever, but believe me - they look more than good enough already.

And Dr Wu is doing some? I haven't seen that anywhere. Based on past experience I doubt they'll be any good anyway. These, though, are perfect!

I got one of those for painting Battletech minis, so I'm already prepared.

Give me a number, I'll put that cash in your hand sir.

Since you've expressed doubts about your work, let me say again: I literally bought MP-51 on the strength of your vision and execution. Until you shared your project, I had intended to pass on the official and hunt down an FT Rouge. Takara owes you a cut, because they'd never have gotten my money otherwise.
Buck up. Keep the faith. You did GOOD.

Edit: and please, dont think for a second that I feel like you have an obligation to see your project through. I know a lot of people develop a false sense of entitlement. I bought my MP-51 with the idea that your project is like backing on Kickstarter, so to speak. Possible, even probable perhaps, but not a guarantee.
If your work never sees distribution it will not cause me to have "wasted my money" and I would not feel any ill will towards you.
That fact your design swayed me should only be taken as the compliment that it is.

Ugh, I haaaaaaaaate that! And I live in a really dry climate so it's even worse. You can mitigate it by watering the paint down but then it's all runny. I seriously can't figure out how you did the eyeliner. I ended up just using an art pen which has its own problems (it bleeds like crazy when I try to go back over it with the face color where I messed up).

Try creating a wet palette. It keeps your paint viable a lot longer, especially in a dry climate.

All you need is a plastic container, some regular sponges(no scratch/scrubber side) and parchment paper.
Add sponges and pieces thereof to fit the container, then cut a piece of parchment paper to fit on top of the sponges with about a quarter inch to spare on each side(this is to help keep the parchment paper from curling up as it dries).
Get the sponges good and wet and add water to the container so that there's a little bit extra at the bottom.
Run water over the parchment paper to saturate it, then set it on the sponge. Use something with an even edge to gently scrape the paper to get rid of air pockets.
Remove any excess water from the top of the paper and you're ready to start working with your paints.

That is a wonderful suggestion but we're talking about the paint in the brush. When working with such a fine tip, there's such a small amount of paint in the brush that it dries out before you even get to the piece you're painting.

Ohhhh... lol. Yeah I've got nothing for you there. That's one of those "it is what it is" things.

Actually,... now that I think about it, maybe use a slightly larger brush and adjust the order of your coverage? After getting the face done, do the "eyeliner" and don't be afraid to hit the eyes. Do the eyes last.

@MC Rap Throne: just a bump to remind you of the love people have for your creation.

That's amazing news, and I'm glad that'll help out your sister. Is there any way I can put my name in for the queue for 1 of those 15? : )
