I teased this yesterday in the CW thread and have talked about it for a while. I finally took a stab at painting my G2 Air Raid to look more like Slingshot. It was more to get the colors right for Superion than anything else. I'm OK with not having a real Slingshot, but Superion having a blue arm was starting to bug me.

The white paint I have doesn't quite match the white plastic but you can only really tell up close. It took a lot of coats to cover up the blue. It looks pretty rough up close. And of course the hinges at the wings are gonna have some chipping. I didn't feel confident enough to mess with the head any. Also this wasn't meant to be a fully accurate custom. I just wanted it to be similar.

Overall I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out.

Paint looks too thick and a bit sloppy. You should have masked off the wings. Looks like you rushed it.

It works and it works rather well I’ll give you that. I hate working with white.

if you ever decide to revisit it i reckon a bit of orange on the top of the head would perfect it.

as for roughness if you are going to do more customs, sand any rub points (joints), prime the bot, mask off your lines with masking tape to get straight lines, thin your paint and apply thin coats. Sand smooth of needed and touch up as you go. But no matter what white will be a pain
