um recently[yesterday] i got the paint and im starting to paint him it will take sometime because im painting him by hand
kill it, KILL IT!!! That is an abomination! But seriously, I just don't like that head. And is it me or does it look too small? Shrunken head Prime? Voodoo witch doctor Prime? I'm still not sure if a Cybertron/Galaxy Force head would work as well as some people think. It fits a similar aesthetic as the G1 based head, and has a sort of "Supermode" head, but is a bit smaller than the Masterpiece head. The Powerlinx head 'looks' a bit closer in scale with the ears extended. Now, if you can 'merge' the two aesthetics of your head & the Masterpiece fig. you've got it good!
What about modding the Armada head by removingthe pipes and adding the G1 style sides to the face. Perhaps removing the lower chin and making it smooth with the rest of the faceplate, and grinding down the front of the topcrest to make it resemble the traditional look. Then again if we are going fan based creation, why not make twin guns mounted to the sides like the olg G1 junior Headmasters and have a sort of masterpeice "BattleConvoy", with a LOT of Really Big Guns!
Sorry man, but that's a bad combo. I'd suggest like others have that you use a different head. Lio Convoy's head would be a good replacement, but as an import is probably just as hard to come by as a loose Prime head. How about a Powermaster Prime head? Those are all over eBay. Might be a bit big tho.
