Hopefully the final film will be able to get that message across. But at least it shows Cruella on a relentless descent into darkness, and doesn't give her too much sympathy.
It's Disney and a trailer, I trust not till it has been reviewed. For all we know this is every good scene in the movie again.
I noticed that too in the recent trailer. (Kinda reminded me of Joker, not that it'll be the same premise) It did make me think that they are actually going to try maintaining Cruella's character from the previous portals, which is good because I like Emma Stone. (Not that it matters, mind you). I was worried that they would go down the Maleficent route and make her an anti hero. (All I will say on that is that she's the MISTRESS of all Evil, not the 'Mistress' of all 'evil') But I am curious/concerned about how she might lean toward animal cruelty... jD001
I can't get negative about this movie, because all I feel is a general sense of bewilderment and the word why. Also, your guys' comments are quite entertaining.
I'm far less being nagative about it, and more so laughing at the whole concept of 'sympathetic puppy killer' lady movie. LOL
This. What's funny is that even in Once when they did that season arc where they made some of the major female villains sympathetic characters... Cruella was the one who's backstory revealed at the end that she really was just a raving psycho. It was a nice bait and switch too since they were building her like she was misunderstood and that her mother was evil... and then boom. Turns out the mom knew Cruella was nutter and was just trying to protect the world from her because she was evil. I'm hoping this ends up the same where she's revealed to be off her rocker and not some secret sympathy case.
I'm trying to figure out how she could ever stand to be friends with Cruella? You don't hafta be a dog to sense that something is off with people sometimes.
Yes, of course. Those puppies needed to die in order to stop the space Nazis from corrupting her mind with 6G towers. See? It all makes since from her point of view.
Spoiler So an egotistical bitch takes away a sketch someone was working on (possibly for her own intrests) so she decides to outdo her by being a more known sensation (publicly and criminally) ...sounds like Cruella to me. (Though, hopefully, her real name up to her reintroduction isn't actually Ella.) jD001
Huh. Well what do you know, I...I Can't actually hate this. Like I still think it's unnecessary, but she seems every bit as cruel and spiteful as she should be.
CRUELLA Receives Glowing Praise As Critics Offer Initial Impressions To Disney's Live-Action Blockbuster So they're saying Emma Stone, the production design and the costumes are a hit.
