http://marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=11367 Just saw this over at Tformers. There will be 8 figures released this year, and will be priced at $14.99. No surprise on the price, as both the Marvel and Star Wars TF's are being grouped into the same line (though with different packaging).
Interesting. I'm curious of what superheroes in the Marvel Universe, are they going to become Transformerish. I guess we have to wait and see what happens. I think this is a good concept, a little bit better than Mega-Morphs.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Spiderman. Depending on what Venom looks like, they could easily just remold/repaint that mold. I might be in the minority, but I could see the Hulk remolded/repainted as the Thing (wouldn't be that hard, imo). Beyond that I'm not sure who will get the treatment.
anyone else think Hulk looks like a green Beast Machines Primal? I'd even be willing to see a Botcon recolor.
So far they look pretty good, much better than Megamorph and those other...things. The Hulk one looks ok I guess, kinda bland though. The Iron Man one looks really good in both modes, though I don't really like Iron Man all that much. I think so far we know about these two, and then supposedly Spider-Man and Venom...so that leaves four more. Let's see... Dr. Doom Deadpool Captain America and um...Howard the Duck? Ok, so we'll probably get like Wolverine, Ghost Rider, and The Thing or somesuch, but whatever.
Yes he does. and someone already did a quick digibash of it as well. I just dont know where its at, damn.
To hell with Star Wars and Marvel TFs. Give me Joe and Cobra TFs, as well as KITT, BTTF DeLorean, and Ecto-1 TFs.
I bet someone thought of that, but never got to it. I think that would be interesting to say the least.
Someone already did an awesome kitbash of it and I posted about it in the toyark quite awhile ago here's the thread if your interested http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=99533
War Machine as a recolor of Iron Man, which would be the natural choice for the mold, I would eagerly buy rather happily.
QFT! Those are EXACTLY the crossovers I would want as well, right down to the letter. I would also add the A-Team van. I would pay a mint for an Ecto-1 Transformer that came packed with a Ghost of Starscream figure....
I back the GI Joes crossover toyline! Anyways, so far I think the Hulk looks good. The other two are passable.
I don't think Spider-Man will be a recolor of Venom. Check out what the article says. Hulk and tank are listed second, and Iron Man and jet are listed third. If they were just throwing motorcycle in as an example of a vehicle, why not go for car? Besides, I think motorcycle would be a more appropriate alt mode for Spidey than a jeep.
Huh...the article wouldn't load for me for some reason when I first posted this, so I didn't read it till just now. Yeah, a motorcycle would definetly make for a better alt-mode for Spidey than a Jeep would. Hopefully this Spidey looks more like the traditional Spiderman than the Animated version looks like (that one looks more like Spidergirl to me, especially the head). Kinda Surprised that Venom isn't mentioned in the article, as he's already been confirmed for the line.
So far I liked Hulk and his transformer, but I'm still a little iffy on Iron Man's. I think that the Motorcycle is a very good Idea for Spidey, simply because both movie arcee and Animated prowl are Motorcyles and have excellent Articulation, which any spidey action figure needs IMHO. Can't wait to see more.
Huh, Spidey as a motorcycle, huh? Figured they'd go the beast route and try to make his alt mode a spider.
With a GIJoe movie coming out next year, that would be the time to do a GIJoe/TF crossover line. With a Hulk & Iron Man movie coming out this summer, no wonder those two characters are up first.
