Not news just noticed that in the latest spot before Hound says "We got the gang back together" in the shot of the autobots running up to the bridge, I noticed that Crosshairs seemed unusually tall for his car size. He is almost as tall as Hound, definitely taller than Bee and Drift. Just pointing it out.

 

I find it weird too, since his car mode is smaller than a Camaro.

 

Also his "trench coat" is a bit weird,Because it moves like it is made up of cloth but it is actually made of metal

 

A varied Transformation or scale errors could explain why he is taller than Bumblebee or Drift - positioning in the scene could also be a factor... Remember Lockdown's toy for an example or Optimus in ROTF where their Transformation adds height to them given a different variation or displacement of parts.

 

he's also really thin.

 

You'd think he'd be smaller than the others because a large amount of car material goes into making his coat...

He's not tall as Hound but definitely unusually tall. But then again, if Drift moved up where Crosshairs is, I feel like he'd also be equally as tall.

This again lol. Yes, his front end fenders and hood become his trench coat. We have metals now on earth that act the same way. Now granted its a lot thinner at this point, NASA uses solar sails and craft parachutes that are made of cloth like metal. Also if you noticed, Hounds doors become his waists of which are cloth-like ammo bags. The same Autobot emblem on his door is on the ammo bag on his side  

And we really should not put much thought into this as we now see that Stinger is made of TFs metal and he can form a whole car. Seats, fabrics and all. Also, if we are going to not pick on how can a TF who is metal have a cloth like flowing coat, the same thing should be asked on if they are all metal, how do them mimic rubber on wheels or glass for windows  

 

So now the question is, which of those two shots is the vocals really attracted to lol?

 

Crosshairs also looks to be standing a few feet in front of hound too. So I hound was to step all the way up, crosshairs would for sure look a bit smaller.

 

He does look tall in that shot but I think it's the other way around: Hound seems kind of short!
I guess if Bee and Drift would stand right next to Crosshairs (and upright) they would be about the same size. And it makes kind of sense that the guy with the big belly would be a bit shorter, same with Leadfoot compared to the other Wreckers: The mass is there but but in a different place!

I believe that up until the new movies, rubber tires and glass or frabric have never transformed into anything else. Usually tires stay tires, and glass just goes on their backs, etc. Could be wrong though.

 

I think it's because Hound is extremely bulky and Crosshairs is very thin.

 

The buggatti is actually the smallest between camero and corvette in car mode and hound is taller its just in that scene hound is walking up from behind crosshairs so crosshairs looks tall. Bee is closer up but is bending or hunched. Drift is the farthest

I think the point was that the Transformers themselves are made of metal, not glass, rubber or anything else that comprises an actual vehicle, so when they scan an alt mode those part of their body don't actually turn into glass or rubber etc. but the metal of their bodies just mimics it. The windows end up on as a backpack on most of the figures but you look at the actual CGI models, they mysteriously break up and fold away.
