I have had a broken Thrilling 30 Crosscut waiting around a while for a custom and was able to get a Silverstreak to fill the job. The ball joints are very close in size, except the one on Silverstreak is a little smaller. I didn't have any nail polish or other paint in sight, so I cut a tiny bit of a zip bag and wrapped it around the ball. It seems to be holding slightly loose, but stable for now. The head stays in place and can look up and around without falling down. I used a torch lighter and a vice to slowly heat up and shape the ratchet joint from the Crosscut right wrist gun into a peg that fits the hand. It looks cool and is nice to be different than the standard Datsun brother weapons. Both heads are about the same size and it transforms fine. I might add some paint details. I am slowly building up to that. I finally have a gravity feed airbrush and just need a different connection adapter, time and space. My friend has given me lots of tips about painting as well as two long overdue figures that I am going to customize.
I actually haven't decided. I think the Dai Atlas is cool. I have had this figure next to my bed and think I like it as is. I have been pretending it is just Crosscut with a new body. I got really busy and haven't gone back to paint some red details on the body yet.
