my guess is that it'll be a direct sequel and that it'll go with the bee and prime movie, technically it would be bb2 but i imagine they'll give some title involving both names instead of "bumblebee 2" or "bumblebee: *instert subtitle here*". the reason im guessing they're going with that plot is i think they chose this director because they liked the dynamic between creed and rocky and thought they could do an interesting dynamic with prime and bee. to be extra clear i haven't seen creed or creed 2 but i have a general idea of what they are about but it's possible im totally off about the dynamic between the 2 characters in those films.

im pretty sure all the main characters from the cybertron scene will be in the film plus some more such as megatron

 

This might be a dumb question but do you guys think we’re going to see original villains like shatter and dropkick or the usual megatron, starscream, soundwave, etc. ?

 

I feel like Megatron is a safe guess, especially if they steer away from the Bay canon. He was absent from Bumblebee because they wanted to preserve the plot about him being in Sector 7. But if they choose to explore a new timeline, Megatron could be doing anything. And if this ends up being the Optimus/Bumblebee team-up movie, Megatron would be an obvious villain for Optimus to fight.

Although I hope they keep the trend of using some existing characters and also introducing some new ones. For me that's been something exciting about each movie, it's not like the superhero movies where everyone's just pulled from existing comics. I like how each movie creates original characters. I hope they keep that up.

 

Ooh, that's good point about the Rocky and Creed dynamic and it being comparable to Optimus and Bumblebee. If the movie does turn out to be about OP and Bee, I can see why the studio picked him. Good catch.

 

ooooh, more movie news. exciting. i dont know too much about this director, so i'll keep my hopes low.
i do hope they're a tad more creative with the designs than the bumblebee movie cybertronian designs. the seekers and optimus all looked fantastic, but the others need work.

I looked up the films he directed on RT.
Most of his films are in the fresh category, so I have good confidence in him.

Can this please be enough for places like tfwiki to register Bumblebee and its sequels as a distinctive continuity from Bayformers?
