Hey guys! I was surfing the web, and I found this awesome fan-art of a Tardis (Dr. Who) transformer. So of course, I have to make a custom. Problem is, I can't think of anyone who turns into a vertical rectangular box shape, or anything close.

Any suggestions on a reasonably poseable base figure?

A shell-former like ROTF Rollbar, perhaps?

If you stand the alt. mode on end, it's already reasonably TARDIS-shaped.

Maybe use G1 Soundwave as a base?

^ no, TARDIS is definitely a she. has a soul and everything.

I'd say maybe look into Energon Prime, and mod him so that he stands on one end of the vehicle mode. Maybe. I dunno really, just a thought. Might need to start from scratch on this one.

I've always wondered whatever happened to that toy.
Someone should make a reproduction of it.

Maybe you could base it on the Cybertron Armorhide mold? You'd have to add something to the back, but otherwise it's pretty rectangular.

just off the cuff, maybe optimus front end transformation maybe of mp optimus the older style, and legs that fold pretty much in half at the knee, seems like a cool idea. The tardis is alive they never said it wasnt a transformer.

PE Reflector has a pretty decent box-shape.

Plus you could base the three robots after your favorite Doctor and companions.

If you pay close attention to the fanart, the transformation of the TARDIS is MP01's transformation. So I'd start there.
