Received these today.... Another underwhelming offering by crazy devy. There really isn't much to this upgrade.

Also I noticed the shipping label was for $22.00. If it cost them $22.00 to ship it and they only charged me $9.99, I think there is a flaw in the business plan!

Anyways, The barrel comes in two pieces and unfortunately for me, they don't stay connected. the smaller piece pegs into the large piece and mine just falls apart.

The lion Mane is ok, but I dont think it blends very well with the existing structure. Perhaps some repro labels will help it out.

Overall 4/10......Disappointed

I think it might be Hong Kong Dollars that you see on the shipping label. Also  

 

The tolerance on the new connecting piece to even out the arms is also loose, resulting in droopy arm predaking.,...

Then someone close it, I figured people would want to hear about it, pics or no pics. The usual suspects can review it in more depth, these were just my initial thoughts on it.

 

Good to know, but all my other packages came with the correct shipping amount, this was the only different one. Oh well its my last crazy devy purchase anyways.

 

Just for the mane it will be worth it. Pred's chest needs some bulk.

 

Nah you're good man. Good to hear some reports on this, if anyone gets one wants to add pics they can add it to this thread - as far as I am concerned, your writeup is more valuable than a bunch of pics.

Hoping it is a bad batch - none of the CrazyDevy Predaking upgrades have really come off well, have they?

 

All the ones I got for Devy and Predaking do what they should, only the sword handle for Predaking cracked, but it's barely noticeable.

 

The $ symbol just means "dollar," it does not, in and of itself, indicate nationality. In the States, of course, it's reasonable to assume it means US dollars - but in Australia it will probably mean Oz dollars, north of 40 it means Canadian dollars and so on. Indeed, when I'm referring to US dollars I type USD or US$ rather than just $ so people know what I mean.

 

Oh no I agree to an extent, a good written review will get across more than a photo dump will but, at least 1 or 2 pics would help. The teaser pics that Crazy Devy had up don't really show a damn thing.

 

i got mine today, while the pieces a little lacking they all feel pretty well built for some reason the barrel can separate into two pieces so i might glue them together. here are some pics i snapped real quick, i'll have a proper video review up in a couple days.

edit: ok after playing around with this set for a bit some faults have started to come out first off the "arm leveling" addon is pretty much useless if you want to be able to move the arm without it popping off, and you'll end up gluing the mane pieces to their pegs because if you so much as breathe on them they will fall off. i've added another link to a pic of the mane installed since i forgot one last time

Mine are great. No falling off or anaything. Especially the manes are a big improvement imo.

 

Did you guys order direct from CD?

 

I got mine a few days ago, which finally made me decide to see if I could get away with putting my kitted-up 2010 reissue predaking in the living room. it's that awesome that I'd try to do something like that with this figure and no other. I've never been so glad that I didn't sticker up a figure. the mane has a cohesive look on it without any stickers on it. fyi, the cd fists are the only upgrade I don't have for this.
