The only problem with the series is that the next movie isn't going to pay attention to it one bit.

    Nice cover.

In that case, they should produce LOTS of sequal comics instead of just the one.

Other than that, this is giving me a reason to buy the Movie adaption. I already have the prequel, so I might as well get the adaption to go with that and this now.

I like it a lot. And Starscream's design is a lot more palatable here than on the Voyager sized toy....better proportions, real hands, wings on his back where they were in the movie. I never read Marvel so I couldn't care less about the homage but Im looking forward to this series.

That writing all ANGRY SCRATCHED RAARRRR like a bathroom stall is so cheesy it makes me chuckle, but awesome pic of SS. On a side note, I wonder why no one has bashed real "accurate" arms onto a movie Starscream yet, instead of just jamming Gundam and or Dr. Octopus hands into his gun barrels. That's what I'm still looking out for.

On one hand, this could be incredibly cool.

On the other hand, there's a good chance that the second movie will completely retcon it.

Amazing cover, I just hope they don't go nuts and try to keep it conservative with the charachters so the next movie can take this as a base.

i actually hope they wont be too constricted by continuity, its been done in the past anyway (divergent continuities). otherwise it could be a boring read thats neither here no there.

theres also something about starscream's palms in that picture that seems very out of place

I still don't know why I didn't buy that comic when I had the chance, it's an awesome cover. Interesting to see the homage, but I'm even more interested in seeing the contents within.

    I disagree.

I personally can live without these phony "homage"s and wish this would become its own stand alone and original entity.
