That Instagram refers to the location as Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland.

I hope so! it looks like an exceptionally beautiful location. If anything I'd prefer something a little more ancient looking, but it's a sweet looking castle nonetheless!

One thing I really like about this film is that even though there is filming in Detroit and London, there appears to be a lot of filming in more rural areas. Coastal Scotland, Arizona, the big action scene between Arthur's Knights and the Saxon invaders(which I hope also features Transformers as well!), Namibia, potentially Mongolia, and now this castle supposedly. Bring it on! I'm down for a little more countryside or wilderness action and a little less urban destruction.

Don't forget the underwater scenes and according to some rumors -- Norway.

All this going around different locations makes it difficult to pinpoint in what direction the movie is heading.

 

Agreed, but I think one thing we can positively say at this point that the Joblo rumors are correct. There will be Arthur and Merlin and medieval battles. Based on the filming dates I suspect that there will actually be substantial time spent in Arthur's time, and I also think there will be Transformers fighting in such battles.. The fact Optimus has been rarely seen show that he probably will be in space a good portion of the film. He probably does wind up on Cybertron, but whom does he meet on his journey?

Having said that, there are still plenty of things unknown.

Who is the last Knight? Prime? Megatron? Arthur? Someone else? How do the Knights who once used the Knightship relate to Arthur's court?

I do think Megatron is the main villain, but what is his plan?

What happened to Barricade after DOTM? Obviously he has been heavily redesigned. What about the new Decepticons? Are they secret survivors from DOTM and AOE, or new arrivals to Earth?

What role do the Pathetic Dirty Foursome play? What about Hot Rod, Cogman, and Sqweeks?

What or who is the junk truck, and what role do they play?

With Joyce returning does KSI play a role?

How do the Dinobots fit in? I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved in Arthur's time in some way, but that's just my guess. Are they actively allied with the Autobots, or are they wildcards?

What role do the Creators have? I'm making an educated guess that the motion capture actress was playing one in the submarine scene.

What is that dragon thing? I suspect that it's the Knightship transformed, and that it's commandeered by Megatron, but that's just a guess.

So many questions! This is an interesting film for sure, and in my opinion the whole Knight thing is entirely within the spirit of the brand.

 

Very beautiful castle and location in general, looks medieval, not like plenty of 18-19 century castles throughout Britain It seems, that the crew actually will move there, my friend from the set said, that their next stop is Newcastle, and this place is quite near the city

 

So if the guy who plays King Arthur on Once Upon a Time is going to reprise his character for The Last Knight, I just want to say that he's a pretty good actor to the point I thought he was a total dick on the show. But in the end he redeemed himself so, there's that.

He kinda looks like Alexander Siddig too.

 

It's his long lost brother.

 

Anyone else getting the feeling this might be a very VERY long movie, perhaps AOE long.

 

Depends if Bay continues following the pattern or not. So far every Transformers film length has exceeded its predecessor. But right now I'd say maybe it's too early to tell if this is going to compete with AOE's length.

suggested that it as for TF5  By the way searching for interesting locations in Yorkshire I also considered these beautiful abbey ruins as a good place for filming
