Now, I know it sounds a bit far fetched but here me out. I was playing Rise of the Dark Spark over the weekend and Megatron used it to revive dead Autobots and use them against Optimus in the final Cybertron chapter. What if the Quintessons/Creators find Optimus' lifeless body in space and use the Dark Spark to revive him? Especially since the Shadow Spark was mentioned in the toy, it makes me think about this theory more and more. What do you guys think?
It doesn't have to be the Dark Spark itself. It could be a relic that does the same thing. In the game it caused the dead Autobots to serve Megatron. Maybe the Quintessons could use the relic to make Optimus obey? Also, in the game, it isn't revealed how the Dark Spark was created. Although, one of the logs found in the Sharpshot level state that it could have been an ejected corruption from the Well of Allsparks or a portion of the Spark of Unicron.
Not so far fatched at all IMO.I had the same idea so I'm all for it!I'm not sure it will be the case...usually if it's a relic everyone is after it but this movie's relic is rumored to have the power to revive Cybertron and it's on Earth..
The Omega Lock and the Dark Spark can both be in the movie. If the rumor of Unicron is true, this could lead to it. I do however think the planet was Cybertron, but anything is possible.
Would be nice to have a Mcguffin, not on Earth. The Matrix was on Earth so if the Creators had the anti-Matrix...
It's possible. My friend and I talked about this a while back (she has played the game; I haven't) and when she explained it I was like "holy shit you might be onto something here!"
Just posted this with regards to the shadow spark optimus thread but yes I think maybe just maybe the rise of the dark spark is a foreshadowing of sorts to TLK look at the description of the dark spark ....... can explain evil optimum easy....
Also with regards to the game. In the story the dark spark disrupts space and time and jumps from universe to universe (movies, g1, FOC etc..). In TLK it is said two mythologies will collide in the end of the film quite neatly. I always thought hat sounded weird, like two universes colliding (the tag line "two worlds collide?"). If so the Dark spark could be used to tie these mythologies up nicely. Also the dark spark could be the anti-thesis to the Allspark and not the Matrix.
I think it's less a question of could and more of a question of how likely. We've seen that the films so far have drawn mythology from different incarnations of Transformers and there have been stories here on the site where the production team has talked about the mountain of stuff that the writers room had access to so anything short of fan fiction could be on the table. While I'm horrible at making guesses as to what the writers might have been thinking the Dark Spark really doesn't seem all that far fetched for the film series so perhaps they will run with it.
Could also explain how we get megatron back....and could possibly allude to the both megs and galvatron ending up in the same universe
