What are those movies exactly? Just curious
Well it's subject to taste of course, but I thought Bumblebee was good, I liked the first Joe movie. And the first TF movie, was decentish.
That’s my point lol. The people that comment on TLK’s performance at the box office single it out as failing just because it was a shit movie, but audiences were getting tired of Transformers movies either way. BB was a REBOOT, had good ratings, and you could see it was a completely new style and it still performed averagely at the box office, you can obviously say that was due to TLK bombing but for me even if TLK was a good TF movie both movies wouldn’t have done barely any better than what they did at the box office. These movies aren’t Star Wars or Avengers. 6 movies about Autobots vs Decepticons was bound to result in some decline.
Regardless, people will say it's all Michael Bay's fault.
I'm not sure. . I didn't see Paramount's name mentioned in this article: A New Transformers Series Is Coming to Netflix
Mostly because it kinda was, as well as Lorenzo's
Yeah they really need to learn how to fucking budget again.
I definitely think it could affect Transformers. Bumblebee was solidly profitable, but not a smash hit. If Paramount keeps failing, I'm not sure Transformers will be their first pick to save them, so it could end up on the back burner.
Gemini Man and Terminator Dark Fate was a wrong investment as story and screenplay were not exciting actually. Now they need to focus more on Hasbro cinematic universe.. I think GI Joe, ROM and Transformers movie can be a very lucrative franchise to Paramount if they choose a right writer and Director for it.. Don't simply hire those writer that are not expert in scifi action genre such as Ehren Kruger.
I think the Paramount/Hasbro"CU" (there actually isn't one) is a case where they are trying to bandwagon jump; The problem is, I doubt that Paramount took the time to actually thoroughly study and comprehend (key word) how Marvel successfully built up to a cinematic universe, and they aren't paying attention to where the wagon is headed. . .
Just because it worked for Marvel, that does not mean it will work for everybody else. . .
Paramount needs to take a chill pill, and seriously do some fine-toothed self-assessment and self-improvement before they make their next move. . . . .Or they'll have a much worse repeat of the near poor-house aftermath that TLK nearly put them in. . .
Joker is the big hit now and studios seem to like to follow trends (like trying cinematic universes). Maybe a Megatron origin movie based on the comics?
Nah, that would do really bad at the box office I bet, 100%. Megatron isn’t anywhere near as popular as Joker and Paramount is in huge need of a big box office hit right now
unless its based on the IDW comics where the cons started a communist revolution. that could work I think. Megatron is a much more interesting character there in my opinion anyway.
Yeah, and while Megatron isn't as popular as Joker, that's ok because the movie wouldn't need to do THAT well to be a success.
Another studio would pick it up. It is an incredibly lucrative brand.
But he isn’t even anywhere NEAR as popular. Would it even BE a success? I don’t think so.
People will be right.
“Interesting” is an odd way of saying “inconsistent and trite.”
I think he's at least as popular as Bumblebee.
Thing is, the issues in AOE and TLK were actually from the previous trilogy as well, albeit more prevalent.
More like the previous cinematic catastrophe from hell...
